Introduction
We are a couple in our early fifties, married for 33 years. I served in the Royal Navy, Police Force and at present work with Special Needs children. My wife is a career Civil Servant.
Why I want to housesit
After a four year wait we have been given the green light to emigrate to Canada. We hope to settle in British Columbia. Whilst we have local knowledge from our visits to family in the Vancouver and surrounding area, we feel house sitting would help us decide where we want to settle.
What I bring to the assignment / relevant experience
As homeowners, we are used to caring for our property and dealing with any issues that arise. I was a Police Dog Handler and our family pet was a Golden Retriever. My German Shepherd continued to live with us once he retired and together with our son we had 13 glorious family years with the dogs.
