trustworthy experienced couple (18 x house sitting and 22 x home exchange)

Introduction

Gina (49) is a cleaning lady in a children's ward in a hospital. She likes traveling, reading tear-jerking books, home design magazines, and doing the household.

Michel (54) is retired (head chef in a sea-side hotel of the army). I like real cooking, reading, listening to music (I am a Deep Purple fan), watching TV, gardening, traveling;
and now I am doing evening school: photography...
We have 2 daughters (Lynn,27 and Maaike, 22) who still are living at home.

Why I want to housesit

we consider it as an alternative, cheaper way of traveling, gathering new experiences outside the normal touristic ways. Meeting new people who can become friends; taking loving care of pets. Feeling more at home than in a hotel. We are experienced home exchangers, but as our daughters want to stay home now...
And it is fun!

What I bring to the assignment / relevant experience

We have been housesitting more than 17 times already (mostly Holland and Belgium). We are experienced cat owners, we took care of different animals: dogs, cats, birds, fish, rabbits, gerbils, sheeps, chickens, ducks, hamsters,...

We like having nice things ourselves and therefore we know how to take care of them. We are considerate people and will do whatever we can to make sure that your home and belongings are left in the same conditions as we found them.
We don’t have an extended reference curriculum, because we don’t want to take advantage of friends, colleagues and family.

We are non-smokers.

  We did exchange our home with the De Pourq Family from Brugge (Belgium) a couple of years ago and we had a marvellous time. We found their home to be clean and our hosts were really nice persons, who gave us a warm welcome. Michel’s delicious Belgian Beer Beef Stew kept us going for nearly three days. They took really good care of our pet and home and left it immaculate. We do recommend them as house sitter.
