Introduction

We are a Scottish couple in our early 60's who need a sitter for our 3 cats for approx. 2 weeks (depending on ferries) from approx.18thApril-2nd May. Using our extensive experience we can assist with itineraries. Please note that Greek Easter is on May 5th this year (maybe you would like to extend your stay and experience a Greek Easter).

What responsibilities are required of house sitter?

Our cats have their own personalised PetPorte cat flap, i.e. allows only them to have access via their chip. They spend most of the time outdoors but need to be fed morning and evening.
Also outside pot plants need watering depending on rainfall.

Features of the property and location

The house is one of the largest old Greek type stone houses in Livadia, with living room, with wood burning stove which you shouldn't need at end of April, well designed fairly modern kitchen, one bedroom, separate tiled shower, toilet, washing machine. We have broadband wifi at 2MB and Mac mini with 23" flat screen monitor.
For the winter in Livadia there are 3 supermarkets all under 5 mins walk away, a fresh meat butcher approx. 5 mins walk, a couple of cafe/bars and a minimum of at least one taverna open. There is also a supermarket and taverna open in Megalo Horio 7km the other side of the island with a regular but reduced winter bus service.
The island itself is known for great walking, some on clear signposted paths, some on old trails.
Tilos is connected to Rhodes, Kos, Symi, Nisyros and Piraeus by Blue Star Ferries twice a week and Kos, Nisyros, Xalki and Rhodes by the Dodecanese Seaways high speed catamaran twice a week.
