Introduction

I am looking for a responsible, caring dog and cat lover to look after my pets and house while I am travelling.
This assignment will be best suited for a person who likes living in the countryside, and who loves being out in nature as well as with animals. You will be needing a car to get around and to do your shopping, etc.
I would prefer it if the sitter could come and stay for a while before I go away for a periode of a few weeks, so that you can get to know me, the animals and their needs first.

What responsibilities are required of house sitter?

The main responsibility and priority will be to look after the animals, and I am looking for dedicated dog and cat lovers! I have three large dogs, who are all very people friendly. They are all sighthounds, and if you have any experience with these breed that would be a great advantage. They are hunting breeds with great speed, and cannot be let off the leash in this area where there are a lot of wild animals. They have a big fenced in area to run. They are very calm and easygoing inside.
There are 4 house cats, but only one of them is an indoor cat, as he is deaf. He needs a lot of love and attention.
There is also the basic maintenance of the house and garden, watering and taking care of the lawn, etc.

Features of the property and location

My house is situated in a beautiful location near the sea, in a very rural area, and you need a car to get to the shops, etc. It is situated between hills and forests, fjord and sea. The area has many good trails or hiking alternatives. There are trails that follow the coastline or into the hills. We live just 15 minutes from the Norwegian border, and under 2 hours from Oslo, Norways capitol city. There are many small and charming seaside towns on both the Swedish and Norwegian side of the border. Nice walks and trails in the area. Not far from small towns in both Sweden and Norway.
