Introduction
Highly experienced and professional full time house sitters, we have been house, pet and business sitting internationally for over five years.
We love our house sitting lifestyle, the highlights being all the lovely people we get to meet, many of whom become friends. It's our way of life, and we take it seriously. We don't treat a house sit as a holiday, but as a an exchange of trust and care.
We're very grateful to all our wonderful clients for the opportunities they have granted us through inviting us into their homes and lives. We receive trust, and in exchange, we provide loving care. The last five years have been the most amazing years of our lives, providing us with the most incredible opportunities. Each sit comes with it's own delights, and it is usually the unexpected ones that are the highlight of each experience.

Why I want to housesit
We started out as house sitters after we lost our dog, Tangle. It was a devastating experience, and we needed to fill the void he left in our lives.
It rapidly grew to become much more than that. It became a way of life for us. A way of life we have found so fulfilling, that it brings joy to our hearts every day. We feel so very lucky to have discovered this path in our lives, and love the adventures and people it has brought into our lives.
We're now experienced travellers, as well as experienced house and pet sitters. The experiences and adventures we've had as house and pet sitters are unmatched. It brings a smile to our faces just thinking about it.
What I bring to the assignment / relevant experience
Professionals, we are two women. Blue, a former university lecturer and photographer, is a writer. Willow, a former personal trainer and customer relations officer, now focuses full-time on our work as house sitters. We earn our living through Blue's work, online, so are able to work from any location where we can get internet, which is why house sitting suits us so well. As we travel, we are studying yoga and meditation (Blue writes and publishes on the subjects of meditation, simplicity, zen and yoga), and in Winter 2012 / 2013 we intend to complete our training to become yoga teachers.
We're Zen Buddhists (like Steve Jobs), and daily yoga practitioners (like Madonna), and bring a quiet sense of simplicity to our lifestyle, and a sense of peace and calm to your pets' environment in your absence. If you were to peep through the window of your home whilst you were away, maybe you would us reading, writing, meditating, practicing yoga, cooking up a storm of local produce, and of course, feeding, grooming, entertaining and cuddling your pets. The TV wouldn't be on (we very rarely watch it), there wouldn't be ashtrays (we don't smoke), there wouldn't be empty bottles strewn around – although we do like to sip the odd glass of bubbly on a Friday night, which just goes to prove we're human!
We are highly experienced, and have house and pet sit clients in the England, Wales, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece and Japan. We have cared for a wide range of properties from new builds to medieval manor houses and gites complexes. We have experience of pool care, car care, gardening etc. We can (and do) handle all the practical stuff too, as Blue is a former course leader in Design Technology and Industrial Design, so brings many hands on practical skills to our work, as well as people and pet skills. We're also happy to manage your mail and phone calls etc in your absence. We have references from many happy clients, including many professionals, a former vet, and a police officer.
We adore the company of all types of pets and domestic animals, and will give your pets all the company and love that you would expect them to receive in your absence. We are fit and active, so exercise is not a problem, we love dog walking, as we run, hike or swim daily, as well as our yoga practice. We are experienced with the care of elderly and sick pets, and are able to manage any pre-scheduled and emergency veterinary appointments and daily medication in your absence too.
We also get great pleasure from a job well done, and pay attention to detail.
In addition, we have experience of business sitting, for which we charge, but are available and experienced in managing B&Bs, gites, and other types of holiday accommodation and business in your absence.
Besides house, pet and business sitting, we have acted as property guardians (a French term) and caretakers of larger properties, and have much experience in property management as well as care.
We have many happy clients, many of whom have become friends over the years, but we positively embrace travel and the greatest joy for us is meeting people. We look forward to meeting you soon!

Blue and Willow have stayed in my Roman flat for two weeks in November. They had earlier managed to visit me – out of kindness – when I was grieving for the death of one of my beloved cats. I highly recommend Blue and Willow if you are looking for someone reliable and with a soft heart towards animals. Your house and your pets will be properly looked after. My cats – I am sure ! - enjoyed the peacefulness and quietness in the house created by the pair. Willow brilliantly devised a “trick” in order to administrate successfully a medicine (tablet) to a cat of mine, which is particularly shy…. it was really a difficult task...well done! it is worth mentioning that they will look after your house as though it were theirs.

My first experience of housesitters has been a great sucess thanks to Blue and Willow. I felt really confident about leaving my home and my cats in their care. They coped admirably when the roof was damaged by a storm ensuring that repairs were carried out promptly. My two cats became great friends with them, snuggling on the sofa on the long winter evenings. They took the time to email me regularly which was so re assuring.
