Adding Amenities: How to Highlight Your Home’s Key Features

It goes without saying that sitters want to know exactly where they’ll be staying, sleeping, and snuggling (with your pet, that is) when they come to care for your furry friends and home. That’s where the ‘Amenities’ section of your home listing can come in handy.

Found in the ‘Your home’ section of your member dashboard, the 'Amenities' section helps you highlight your home’s best bits - whether that’s a cozy fireplace, a king-sized bed, or high-speed wifi!

Adding amenities to your listing can help you stand out to sitters, get more applications, and help our lovely sitters know what to expect. So, how do you add them to your listing? We thought you'd never ask.

How to add amenities to your listing

First things first, you’ll need to head on over to your member dashboard, go to 'Edit your listing', and click through to the ‘Your home’ area. Then, simply scroll on down until you reach the ‘Amenities’ section.

Here, you can add as many amenities to your listing as you need - from the type of bed your sitter will be sleeping in, to parking and dedicated workspaces.

Here, you'll find individual sections for each and every area of your home - including the kitchen and bathroom, as well as sections to add things like whether you’ve got any home security devices set up, if you have air conditioning or central heating, and any outdoor spaces your sitter is welcome to use (such as a patio, balcony, or even a hot tub!).

To explore each section further, simply click on the drop-down arrows beside each heading - like below:

From here, you can select any and all amenities that apply. Heads up - for some amenities, such as ‘Beds’, you’ll see a pop-up asking you to fill in a few more details - for example, whether it's a Single, Double, Queen, or King-size bed:

As you go, you'll be able to see which sections have already been filled in as they turn green in your dashboard:

Once you’ve selected all of your home’s amenities, don’t forget to scroll right down to the bottom of the page and click ‘Save all’ to save your changes and update your listing. Job done!
