Could You Open Your Heart & Home To A Battersea Rescue?

By Liam Beauchamp-Jones | Pets

We're proud to be supporting Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and each week will be introducing our community to just some of the wonderful pets looking for their forever homes.

Could you open your heart and home to one of the Battersea rescue animals?

Paddy

Breed: Mongrel; Sex: Male; Age: 9 months; Centre: London; Reference: 357830

Handsome youngster Paddy is bursting full of energy. He is a goofy chap who just loves attention from everyone. Quick to learn new things, Paddy will really benefit from finding owners who have the time to continue his training.

Paddy’s owners will need to be physically able to handle a strong dog. He has experience with older children and could share a home with those who will keep interactions calm. Paddy loves other dogs but can be too much for some. It would therefore be best that Paddy is the only dog in his new home and instead meets pals for regular socialisation.

Honey

Breed:
Staffordshire Bull Terrier; Sex: Female; Age: 1 year 4 months; Centre: London; Reference: 357736

Honey is a sweet girl who Staffie lovers are sure to fall for. She is a pocket rocket whose enthusiasm for life will keep her new family on their toes. Flyball or agility classes would be a great way of burning off some of her energy. Honey is a fast learner who already knows a variety of commands. Continuing her training will be a fun and rewarding experience.

Any children in Honey’s new home should be teenagers who have experience with bull breeds and will participate in her training. Honey will need to be the only dog in her new home, and be gradually introduced to some friendly future pals.

To meet Honey, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.

Cous Cous

Breed:
Greyhound; Sex: Female; Age: 7 years 6 months; Centre: London; Reference: 357819

Cous Cous is a former racing greyhound who is now looking for a forever home where she can retire for the second and final time. She has previously lived in a home environment before arriving at Battersea due to no fault of her own, so should settle in quickly given the right support. Cous Cous loves cuddling up on the sofa for belly rubs and her absolute favourite time of day is meal time.

Cous Cous has lived with children in the past and could happily do so again. She enjoys the company of other greyhounds, although wouldn’t be suited to sharing a home with smaller breeds or a cat. A home in a quiet area with a garden would suit Cous Cous perfectly.

To meet Cous Cous, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.

Bobbie

Breed: Domestic Short-hair; Sex: Female; Age: 11 years 6 month; Centre: London; Reference: 355683

Gentle Bobbie is a sweet-natured lady who wants nothing more than a cosy lap to curl up on. In return, she’ll reward you with endless supplies of kisses and head-bops. While Bobbie can never get enough lap-time, when the mood strikes she does enjoy a game with her string toy.

Bobbie will make a lovely cat for first time owners. While she will need to be the only pet in her new home, she can live will sensible older children. Bobbie will also appreciate having outdoor access and nice sunny spots to lay in.

To meet Bobbie, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.

Eddie

Breed:
Domestic Short-hair; Sex: Male; Age: 5 years 5 months; Centre: London; Reference: 358025

Eddie’s future family will be sure to enjoy his friendly character. Although he can be shy at first, Eddie is a chatty boy who will quickly become an important member of the family. Eddie enjoys occasionally playing with a knitted mouse, but will jump at any opportunity for a tasty treat.

Eddie may be able to live with another cat or dog, depending on their temperament. He can also share a home with children over the age of eight.

To meet Eddie, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.

Rubin

Breed: Domestic Short-hair; Sex: Male; Age: 1 year 7 months; Centre: Old Windsor; Reference: 356712

Rubin has had a tough time of things in his young life, with the other cats in his previous home bullying him. He is therefore looking forward to finding a new home where he will be the only pet and centre of attention. Once he has settled, Rubin promises to make a social and lively addition to the family.

Rubin will do best in a home with older children and in a low cat-populated area. He enjoys spending time outside and would appreciate being able to do so without lots of neighbouring cats visiting.

To meet Rubin, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s Old Windsor centre on 01784 494443.
