“She was prepared to miss her Christmas to take care of our kitty”

At the end of 2019, we asked you all to look back and celebrate the special pets and people you met through TrustedHousesitters. 

After reading through so many wonderful stories (through both tears, laughter and deliberation) our judges finally chose the winners of The Trusted Awards 2019. However, the vast amount of stories did mean that some special mentions had to be shared. 

Here we have Maeve, who was nominated by Tracie for saving her Christmas, meaning we had to honor a special nomination of which we titled The Holiday Helper 2019.

Meet Maeve…

Maeve was an absolutely wonderful friend to Gandhi during our time away this winter. She was communicative from the start, prepared to sacrifice her own Christmas with family to take care of our kitty, and even left me with some delicious meals to come home to on Christmas night after a long day of flying.

In addition to all this, she left the house in immaculate condition and shared regular photos of her time with Gandhi while we were away.

I am so appreciative of all the wonderful sitters we’ve found using this service. They have all been truly amazing. But for going the extra yard, Maeve stands out. Her kind heart and generosity make her a worthy winner of the 2019 Sitter of the Year award.
