“The universe brought Tracey to me.”

At the end of 2019, we asked you all to look back and celebrate the special pets and people you met through TrustedHousesitters. 

After reading through so many wonderful stories (through both tears, laughter and deliberation) our judges finally chose the winners of The Trusted Awards 2019. However, the vast amount of stories did mean that some special mentions had to be shared. 

Here we have Tracey, who was nominated by Debbie. The judges decided that she deserved a special nomination of which we titled Stranger to Lifelong Friend 2019.

Meet Tracey…

The universe brought Tracey to me. We have both recently lost our husbands and understand how challenging creating a new life without them is. Tracey has done two house sits for me and agreed to help me out for a few more. This consistency of dog care right now has helped me step back into life, by removing the self-induced stress of putting responsibility on family or friends.  

Tracey also knitted me a beautiful scarf and left it in the shape of a heart upon my return.  It may not be part of TrustedHousesitters mission but you are responsible for teaching people to trust, share and care for one another. Thank you for this service. And this is why I would like to nominate Tracey Perkins.
