We are Mel (27) & Andrew (29), an Australian couple who have been together for 8 years. We have recently sold our house and packed up our lives in Sydney to pursue our passion for adventure and travel.
We are animal lovers having both raised cats, dogs, crabs, rabbits and hamsters, so looking after pets is no problem :)
We both have degrees, Andrew is a Mechanic and I am an Interior Designer, with a passion for creativity, photography and the arts. With these handy skills we renovated our house, so small tasks around the house are no issue for us - whether it be fixing a leaky tap, mowing the lawn or the general up keep of the house.
As homeowners, landlords and renters, we understand and respect the responsibilities that comes with house sitting. We are currently house sitting around the UK and can provide personal references that speak to our cleanliness and reliability.
We will bring the utmost respect, professionalism and work ethic to your property and pet/s!

Why we want to house sit
We house sit for two reasons:
- To look after animals - animals and pets bring so much joy and happiness to people around them
- To explore countries a bit more locally, so staying in a house gives us the chance to engage with the community, culture and history on a personal level

We are currently house sitting in the UK :)
The house we are sitting right now has 2 x cats and we have previously house-sitted with 2 x dogs, 10 x cats and 3 x chickens all at once! So no number of animals is to great or small for us!
We love pets and love that we can look after them while travelling the world, they bring us so much joy and peace of mind for the owners.

Both Melissa and Andrew are very kind, caring people. They have a good sense of humour and they obviously love animals and feel comfident looking after them. We felt completely confident leaving our Gang of Four cats in their care when we went away. On our return the house and - more importantly, our cats ! - had obviously been very well taken care of. Should they ever head for Scotland again they'll be very welcome to return and house sit for us !

Mel and Andrew were great house sitters! We had excellent communication before the house sit and throughout the whole time we were away. They were very low maintenance and didn't bother us with anything while we were away which was very thoughtful. They were really attentive towards Storm (our cat) and us fussy pet owners! They took everything in their stride, even the minus 9 temperatures and being woken up at 5:30 am by the cat!! Totally brilliant, would definitely recommend, thanks a million!

This was our first time of using a house and pet sitter and we were very apprehensive about leaving the house and animals with strangers. However any fears soon evaporated after finally meeting them in person. Melissa and Andrew are a young couple who are a breath of fresh air. They went above and beyond the call of duty when unfortunately our eldest cat passed away in her sleep. She was 19 years old. Andrew and Melissa found her a nice spot and marked the grave with stones.
On our return they had a meal ready for us and the house was as clean as when we left.
We would recommend them to anyone.
We wish them the very best in the world journey and hope they find house sits in the countries they wish to visit on their travels back to Australia.

Pam and Ian were so wonderful to us, we cooked meals together and they even offered to let us stay longer! All the cats were sweet and shy, but Toby was a real star! So cute and we have fond memories of looking after him :) Thanks again guys, hope to see you again in the future.
