We are on the road to retirement & looking forward to the next stage in our life, we are still doing some work via the internet & this means that we will be around for most of the time to care & watch over everything for you.
As well as travelling & having new experiences along the way, we have found that house sitting really suits us as it is so comforting to stay in a friendly home environment & if there are pets or animals to look after, then their company is an added bonus!
We love animals & wildlife & have had a long experience in caring for dogs, cats & farm animals. Unfortunately we no longer have our own pets, so we would welcome the opportunity to care for yours.
Over the years we have also had extensive experience in house & garden maintenance having renovated our own properties & also as sitters, we have cared for a number of different types of homes & properties ranging from large farms through to smaller homes & units
.
We do understand that everyone's house & pets are different & we seriously take this on board & listen to each individuals requests & we will follow through with meeting your specific requirements while we stay & promise to keep you updated while you are away.
The opportunity to become your house sitter would be a great privilege & something we would not take for granted, as we both understand it is a necessity to respect your house & property & keep it well maintained while in residence.
We are both non smokers, healthy & happy people & look forward to hearing from you.

Why we want to house sit
We would like to bring our experience in house & pet care along with us as we travel & explore new destinations. Although we do love to travel, we also enjoy being in a friendly home environment and taking the time to explore all that the local area has to offer, & of course this includes having the company of pets, which we find is such a bonus.
We also find this is a great way to meet locals & meet new friends along the way.
Our experience
We have been house sitting now for 3 1/2 years now & have had very successful happy times & met lovely home owners who have all been extremely happy with us, all have asked us to return when they next need a sitter.
Our recent sits have included anything from large farm stays to townhouse sits. We have cared for a wide range of pets & farm animals.
Our experience is wide & varied & having had our own pets in the past , we understand how important they are to their owners & how individual they can all be & should be treated as such.
We promise to listen to each house sitters requirements & follow through with their specific instructions.

Susie & Gary house sat for us for 3 weeks - looking after our 2 dogs, 11 cattle, 8 chickens and 5 beehives on our 120 acre property with pool, tennis court and cottage.

Susie & Gary are very seasoned and understand what needs to be done on a property. Not only are they both very personable and lovely people but they are also extremely capable. We never once had to worry about anything when we were away and we returned to a super clean and welcoming house, giving us time to deal with our jet lag without any worries around the house. We even had fresh fruit & bread awaiting us as a thoughtful touch upon arrival. We have no reservations in highly recommending Susie & Gary to care for your home/pets as long as our travel dates are covered :-) :-)- Organised

Everything was absolutely fine upon our return when Susie and Gary were house and pet sitting for us; the cats were in good spirits too! Susie had been thoughtful and conscientious offering to do things for us beyond expectations. No hesitation in recommending her, trustworthy and reliable. ...
Everything was absolutely fine upon our return when Susie and Gary were house and pet sitting for us; the cats were in good spirits too! Susie had been thoughtful and conscientious offering to do things for us beyond expectations. No hesitation in recommending her, trustworthy and reliable. Kept in touch with just the right balance of information for us before arriving and whilst we were away with no fuss. Just didn't worry at all.

There are only 5 stars within Trusted House Sitters, I need 20. Susie & Gary are two of the loveliest sitters we have ever had, and believe me when I say we have had many. Reliable, sensible, kind, understanding etc, I really can't say enough good things about these people.
