We live in a beautiful place in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. We are taking a year sabbatical from our work and travelling to Europe, starting with walking The Camino ( The French way). We live in a beautiful place in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. We are taking a year sabbatical from our work and travelling to Europe, starting with walking The Camino ( The French way). We love the outdoors and walking, at home we love to go camping. We love taking care of travellers when they visit, to show them around Brisbane and extend our home to friends and share our love of music. We love to go to see live music locally and especially our daughter who is a musician and has introduced us to many other fine musicians. The only thing Paul will miss when we travel is his piano.
Why we want to house sit
When we have finished walking The Camino we want to see places in Europe that will give us a real experience of living there, countryside, city or mountains. House sitting will enable us to do that and also give us a chance to take care of pets. Since our children Conor and Georgia left home and we moved into an apartment, we miss having pets in our home. We had a beautiful golden retriever Jason, and April, a part Abyssinian cat who was a great companion to us all. Paul also grew up on a farm and has experience with taking care of all farm animals.
Our experience
We are new to trusted house sitters. However we do travel and usually choose Air B&B where we appreciate living in a 'home' rather than a hotel. We take pride in our home, try to be minimalist and would leave a home we stay in just as we find it. We have house sat for friends when they go away to look after their pets and their plants. We have always had a pool and know how to take care of it. We are non smokers. Paul is the green fingers in our house and lovingly tended our garden before we moved into an apartment.

Katherine and Paul were everything we hoped our house sitter would be.
From the get go we knew they were kind, calm and reliable people.
when we met they were like old friends, and Bailey took to them both instantly and Bailey to both of them.
They made themselves at home with no awkwardness and ...Katherine and Paul were everything we hoped our house sitter would be.

They made themselves at home with no awkwardness and everything was so easy.
The took care of Bailey perfectly, he was happy and contented when we came home and the house was as spotless and as we left it.
Katherine and Paul were our first house guests, and as house sitters ourselves we appreciated how important it is to welcome and care for the people who are caring for your home and loved ones. Katherine even made us a curry to come home to, which is something we have done previously on our house sits and was so greatly appreciated.
I will go on to say that if ever Katherine and Paul need a place to stay if they visit the U.K. again, they are welcome to come stay with us a friend anytime.- Organised
