About Barbara

Hi, I am a young 63 years old italian lady coming from Tuscany.My son lives in Australia and since I retired I often travel there .He moved from Perth to Melbourne, so I visited both Western Australia and Victoria. I also have travelled many times in Asia and especially in Japan.
Im very interested in Japan traditions and culture, and part of my studies has been about it because I am majored in fine arts, i graduated in Florence.
My work was in the Council of my town,but after that i like to study and experience the differencies of cultures , languages and traditions that travelling offers, i enjoy my photograpy hobby and I am realible , quiet and tidy, nonsmoker, no drinker, my best friends are a book and a cup of tea ! But the most important thing is that I truely love pets : they are my home and my family when I am far from home! World is better because of them ! So you will be sure that I will take care of them with all my attentions as they are my own family ! I ll never stop to think about there needs , and they will be my best company!
I have now left Melbourne where I was since the 2nd of november 2018 and started my trip through Japan and Asia, then I would like to come back to Melbourne where I will arrive probably at the end of this march so I hope to find some new pet friends to care of on my way back. Does it May be yours ?

Why I want to house sit

Since I retired , i decided to visit the world and see as much As I can, because i think that to know other cultures, and other countries is the best and useful thing to do at my age.
My son lives in Australia and this gave me the occasion to visit the other side of our beautiful hearth globe, and understand how instructive and interesting it would be, never stopping to learn and be curious to learn !

My experience

I have been travelling and housesitting since to 2016, in Perth, Fremantle and Melbourne. I am now housesitting in Japan,Tokyo.

Barbara was with us for 5 days in late January 2019 and also on a few other occasions in past years.
She is pleasant, affable, courteous and a willing conversationalist.
We have no hesitation in recommending her.

Barbara minded our home and two cats for 10 days in January 2019.

Barbara was an excellent house sitter and took great care of both our home and cats.

She followed our instructions to the letter about how to treat our cats and provided them with lots of affection as requested by us.

Barbara minded our home and two cats for 10 days in January 2019.

Barbara was an excellent house sitter and took great care of both our home and cats.

She followed our instructions to the letter about how to treat our cats and provided them with lots of affection as requested by us.

Barbara also took photos and videos of the cats to send to us while we were away to show us how well and happy they were!

Her communication was excellent and we easily kept in regular contact, without it being intrusive.

Barbara kept our house clean and tidy, collected our mail, took care of our plants and we were very happy with her service as a house sitter.

Barbara is a lovely woman who is kind, friendly and reliable.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Barbara as a house and pet sitter.

We are hoping that Barbara may return to Melbourne and be able to mind our cats again in the future.
