We are a married couple with grown-up children. I worked in wholesale finance for many years and left that very stressful world behind in 2015 to follow my passion for natural health. I am now self-employed as a consultant in the natural health industry. My husband is a sales manager. I work from home a lot, so we are the perfect house sitters. We sold our home at the beginning of March(2018) and want to do a lot more travelling, as I can take my business worldwide. We are planning to do as many house sits as possible when travelling. I'm originally from Ireland and my husband is Australian. All of my immediate family live in Perth, I still have many relatives in Ireland.
Why we want to house sit
As we will be travelling a lot we don't want to be tied to our own property just yet. We want to travel and experience different parts of the country and the world. We know it's really difficult to get the right house and pet sitters. We had that situation many times in the past ourselves. Since our little dog, Bono past we miss having a dog around and the cuddles! Until we decide exactly where we want to settle down again we thought house sitting would give us a good idea of living in different areas and house types.
Our experience
We house sat for three months for a friend in Watermans Bay and a few times for my sister in Darling Downs when she had two golden retrievers. Sadly our own dog passed away a few years ago, we miss having a pet because we travel a lot we can't be tied to a pet of our own. House sitting will be a perfect fit for us to get our pet fix. We sold our house(March 2018) and are unsure where we would like to live, we thought we could house-sit for a while to get some more experience and use that experience to house sit when we go overseas. We started house sitting in March 2018 and successfully completed three sits before our six week holiday in Europe in July, since our return we have bookings up until almost the end of the year. Sharon and John have sat for us a number of times now. It's so good to know we have someone we can trust in the house and who loves Scooter almost as much as we do!

Sharon and John are just so lovely, this was their second sit for us and Scooter was so excited to see them having remembered them from last time.

Knowing how well they look after Scooter and our home made it completely stress free.
We came home to hugs, a clean and tidy home and a happy dog.- Organised

Sharon and John are wonderful sitters, they took great care of our home and most importantly of our dog Scooter.
