About Greg & Liz
We are a happily married couple living in Perth, Western Australia. We are both non smokers. We met eight years ago and have been married for the past five. We both share a love of travel and have been fortunate to see a lot of the world in recent years. Now we have retired we hope to continue the journey.

We are a happily married couple living in Perth, Western Australia. We are both non smokers. We met eight years ago and have been married for the past five. We both share a love of travel and have been fortunate to see a lot of the world in recent years. Now we have retired we hope to continue the journey.
Liz is originally from the UK but has called Australia home for 30 years. Working as a Physiotherapist and living on 100 acres just south of Perth she was known as the 'Bird Lady' and any orphaned birds ended up at her place. With everything from ducks and geese through to emu's it was an eclectic collection. She also had sheep, dogs and cats to add to the mix. Greg was a Police Officer and worked in many remote parts of Western Australia as well as the Perth metropolitan area. Greg always had at least one dog and cat in the family but has had as many as three dogs and two cats at one point. Greg also has some experience looking after horses and sheep.
We initially house/pet sat in The UK for friends when travelling. Since joining Trusted House Sitters we have undertaken sits in Singapore, Thailand, England, Scotland, New Zealand and Australia with further sits booked in UK and France next year. We find this very rewarding and interesting and look forward to helping pet owners in the future.
Why we want to house sit
We love to travel and have enjoyed many trips to various parts of the world in recent years. We enjoy the local experience and love being out of the tourist zone. We both love animals, but because we are travelling a lot at the moment we don't have any at home. We see House Sitting as a good way to experience a more local view of the world and enjoy caring for peoples pets so they can also get away. We are both very active and Liz is a keen gardener and happy to water and maintain your garden. We are both practical people with emergency services background so there are few problems or issues we cant tackle and resolve while you are away. Both tech savvy we can easily keep you in touch with whats going on at home so you can enjoy your travels without worrying.
Our experience
We have been housesitting both locally and abroad and as you can see from our references we have lovingly taken care of a variety of cats, dogs and the odd fish to the complete satisfaction of the pet/home owners. We have made many friends along the way with everyone happy to have us back to housesit.
We have both had pets all our lives but at the moment we are pet free as we intend to travel for a while. Liz comes from a farming background so has looked after sheep, poultry and emu's. Greg has had some experience with Horses as well as experience with farm animals.

Once again, Trusted Housesitters came up with excellent housesitters. Greg and Liz are very experienced and have house sat all over the world, so we were very glad when they agreed to come to Portugal to housesit Bruno and Bella. It was love at first sight, and it was obvious that Greg and Liz ...
Once again, Trusted Housesitters came up with excellent housesitters. Greg and Liz are very experienced and have house sat all over the world, so we were very glad when they agreed to come to Portugal to housesit Bruno and Bella. It was love at first sight, and it was obvious that Greg and Liz loved animals and would care for them really well. They arrived in enough time for us to be able to show them around before we went off on our holiday. Greg sent us texts from time to time to let us know how the dogs were, which was really nice, and when we arrived back the dogs really were not too bothered about us and went off for their walk with Liz very happily - which is a good sign that they had been really well cared for. Greg and Liz had prepared a lovely meal for us and the house was really clean and tidy, which was great. We cannot recommend them too highly and would love to meet up with them again when they come back to Europe.

Greg and Liz were very much here as soon as they arrived. No fuss they just took over looking after the dog and the fish, asked sensible questions and got on with the job.
We got regular updates and videos of the dog having fun travelling around with them. They dealt with any issues that arose...Greg and Liz were very much here as soon as they arrived. No fuss they just took over looking after the dog and the fish, asked sensible questions and got on with the job.
We got regular updates and videos of the dog having fun travelling around with them. They dealt with any issues that arose and we came back to a spotless house and a chocolate lasagne.

I feel pretty cheated that Greg and Liz were only with me for ten days as they are just exceptional. They are everything you could wish for to allow you to leave your home and pets in the safest of hands. I just wish they didn’t live in Australia! I’m sure we will remain good friends. ...
I feel pretty cheated that Greg and Liz were only with me for ten days as they are just exceptional. They are everything you could wish for to allow you to leave your home and pets in the safest of hands. I just wish they didn’t live in Australia! I’m sure we will remain good friends. If you get the chance to have them stay in your home, wherever you are, don’t think twice! Thank you both so much and I hope you’ll come back to Wales another time.
