We are a retired couple who are very experienced house and pet sitters; we are adaptable and can give you peace of mind while you are away that your pets and house will receive first class treatment. We will do whatever it takes to ensure your pet is happy and well care for. We have looked after houses, dogs, cats, chickens and horses in England, Australia, Canada, Norway, Tuscany, Dubai, Botswana and most recently Panama. We are reliable. If we are offered this assignment and we accept we promise that we will not let you down and cancel at the last minute leaving you without a sitter.
Why we want to house sit
We love animals and we also love to travel so house and pet sitting gives us the opportunity to enjoy both. Because of our lifestyle (we love to travel) we are unable to have pets of our own so we enjoy the interaction with the animals In our care.
Our experience
Many years of experience, initially looking after family and friends' houses and animals and more recently through assignments with Trusted Housesitter. We can guarantee you peace of mind that your house and animals will get first class treatment while you are away. There will be no surprises when you return, except maybe how well your house and garden have been maintained and how happy your pets are. Moira is very happy working in the garden.

Moira and David were simply amazing. They were incredibly reliable, communicated with me as needed, helped solve some housekeeping issues that arose while I was away, and looked after my cat in a superb way. When I came home, my place was clean and tidy. Moira had done wonders and even cleaned my fridge which I really appreciated. They had made the bed for me with clean sheets, and that was amazing because I just came home from a long flight. They also wrote a nice card. In addition to being amazing house/pet sitters, they are a lovely and very interesting couple. I will enjoy seing them again and I highly recommend them.

For almost a month, we had the pleasure of having Moira and David for the pet sitting of our old cat in our house. We were very satisfied with their cares and are praising them heartily. They are very reliable and took care of all the situations that happened. During their stay, we kept in touch by email and we could see how well both of them handle all the situations and we had a pleasure of having a hot meal at our return. We would love to have them again as house sitters!

We were very happy to had David and Moira as house sitters. We have a tented camp, called Tshima Bush Camp, in Botswana that includes a main house, 4 furnished luxury tents, 2 cars, a garden and that all on a 30 hectares piece of bush land. And not to forget our 2 dogs and cat. December, January ...
We were very happy to had David and Moira as house sitters. We have a tented camp, called Tshima Bush Camp, in Botswana that includes a main house, 4 furnished luxury tents, 2 cars, a garden and that all on a 30 hectares piece of bush land. And not to forget our 2 dogs and cat. December, January and February is our low season and we decided to close the camp and go on holiday.
David and Moira looked after our place for these 3 months. We pomp water from the river and work with solar power, that all needs attention and has to be managed well. And above that some work had to be done and everything had to stay in a good condition. David and Moira took care of our place very well. They know how to handle if there are things that has to be done. If any problem comes up they solve it without a doubt.
David and Moira are very responsible and reliable and they are full of love for the pets.
We kept in touch by email and it was always good to notice that all went well with our dogs and cat and that things where handled well. To have David and Moira as house sitters gives you a peace of mind.
After our 3 months trip they picked us up from the airport and a nice meal was waiting for us at home.
We found our pets healthy and happy, our house spotless clean, the garden manicured and our camp very well maintained and ready for the next season.
We cant thank you enough David and Moira for taking care of our place. We would highly recommend David and Moira to take care of your house and pets because than you know that everything comes right.- Organised

Moira and David are absolutely outstanding pet/house sitters. They took care of our two golden retrievers while we were absent for 6 weeks. The dogs were well groomed, well exercised, well pampered and quite simply well loved. They communicated with us regularly including updates and photos....

The dogs were well groomed, well exercised, well pampered and quite simply well loved. They communicated with us regularly including updates and photos. Our home was in perfect shape upon our return. I really highly recommend this couple as ideal sitters and hope that we will be fortunate enough to convince them to return one day.

I worry about leaving my home and mostly my animal ( dogs, chickens & hirses) but Moira and David have have house sat for us twice now and are completly trustworthy, kind, and capable. Could not praise them enough. You will be hard pushed to find two nicer people. My pets were well looked after, happy and certainly didnt miss me for the 6 weeks we were away each time! On my return my home was immaculate and a a hot meal waiting or us. They are extreemly well travelled and really interesting folks. We like to think we made two lovely friends snd hope they come back soon.

We have entrusted our house and garden to the Atwells many times, and have found them to be most trustworthy and reliable. The house is always cleaner than when we left and we sometimes question whether they were even there!

Moira and David stayed at our house for 5 weeks and looked after our house and animals in our absence (that means 2 dogs, 1 cat and 4 horses!)We were completely satisfied with the job they did: when we came back our animals were all in perfect shape and looked after very well, the garden was in order, the lawn mowed and the house was much cleaner than how we left it. They are very reliable and also managed to cope with the various problems that can happen in a house in the countryside. We would be happy to have them again as housesitters!
