Tony and I enjoy traveling .We have been to Europe the last five years, staying for several months at a time. We have travelled extensively in Canada, and the United States, including Hawaii. Tony and I enjoy traveling .We have been to Europe the last five years, staying for several months at a time. We have travelled extensively in Canada, and the United States, including Hawaii. We had a lot of fun island hopping around the Caribbean and French Polynesia. We also love animals and enjoy the company they provide. We have had pets in our family for over 20 years. I really enjoy working in the garden, both vegetables and flowers. I spin and dye my own wool. Tony enjoys the outdoors and is a sport enthusiast. We are very fit and active, non-smokers(don't mind if you do). We are both semi-retired, so we are free to travel, and come and go as we please. We are quite flexible in regards to length of House sit.
Why we want to house sit
House sitting gives us a chance to visit other parts of the world while enjoying the company of animals(if they happen to come with the house sitting responsibilities). We are honest, friendly and dependable. Providing the pet/homeowner comfort, knowing that they have someone they can rely on to take care of their 4 legged loved ones, and make sure that their home is well taken care of by experienced homeowners.
Our experience
We own and operate Holdsworth House Bed and Breakfast in Digby, Nova Scotia. Margaret is employed with the Canadian Coast Guard, on a relief work basis, passing high levels of security clearance and obtains all the necessary certificates and qualifications.
We are a professional, reliable couple, and we love animals. We currently have one dog, a rescue from the Turks and Caicos Islands. All our "babies" lived long healthy lives, and now are in pet heaven. We volunteer at a farm/ranch 2km from our home. We both are efficient in general home maintenance and repair, lawn and garden and tree trimming(chainsaw experience). Having owned a home with an in ground swimming pool, we are familiar with the running of the filtration and circulation systems, cleaning and chemical applications. Both are licensed drivers, and can provide a clean drivers abstract.

We enjoyed our stay in Galera taking care of Haley's fur babies and her lovely Galera cave house. Little Bobble is absolutely adorable. All the pets were a treat to take care of. Wonderful personalities! Great neighbours and a good location to walk into town for an afternoon cerveza. We hope to return.

It was a pleasure having Margaret and Tony look after our dogs and cat .when we arrived home they were all completely chilled and seemed very relaxed .margaret and Tony left the house clean and tidy and mixed well with my friends .Would definitely recommend them .

We enjoyed house sitting for Tina and taking care of the 3 boys and sweet little kitty. We had wonderful walks through the Chives countryside and Tina's home was lovely and comfortable.
