Hello, my name is Carrie-Ann, and my partners name is Dean. We are a young, energetic and active couple who are passionate about animals and animal care. We have chosen to become care providers for owners in need because we both have a passion for animals of all kinds. Carrie-Ann works from home, and Dean wants a break from his regular 9-5 job. Carrie-Ann would like to pursue a career based on caring for animals. We have years of experience caring for a variety of animals including and especially dogs of many breeds. We both grew up around dogs and many other animals and are true animal lovers, who have owned and cared for animals our entire lives. Dean has experience living and working on a horse farm until age 20. Dean has worked on a horse ranch and dog farm for 2.5 years, as well as working for CDN Protection learning about K9 handling for Police Work. Carrie-Ann is often found in her natural habitat, which often means frequenting the forest, hiking a path, being near a waterfall, or feeding small animals out in nature. She really misses her childhood dog. We show empathy and understanding, patience, kindness and guidance, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of most animal behavior, including ways to best interact with them based on their personal needs. We are physically fit, able to walk, run, jog, lift, bend, twist, walk.
We use websites like this as a way to surround ourselves with even more furry friends, and travel with less expenses. We have been considering fostering dogs in the future, but for now taking care of others animals while they are unable to, and traveling, is a great feeling. Carrie-Ann will be the main provider for your animal and the house chores and duties will be shared among us both when traveling together.
Carrie-Ann's interests vary greatly anywhere from the great outdoors; traveling, hiking, photography, exploring, sight seeing, walks, camping, the beach, swimming, kayaking, fishing, foraging, biking, roller skating, skating, snowboarding, gardening, bird watching, learning about different cultures or history, volunteering, to at home activities including; Yoga and meditation, fitness and exercise, art (drawing or painting), cooking and baking, staying in and watching a movie or playing video games, reading, thrifting, or animals, activism, self-improvement and live music. Some things i want to try, learn or get into include; Traveling the world, backpacking, canoeing, rock climbing, sky diving, scuba diving, mountain biking, archery, paintballing, skiing, surfing, martial arts, kickboxing, mauy thai, self-defense, the violin, drums and the guitar.
We do not drive, and rely soley on walking, bike riding, and the use of public transportation. Carrie-Ann has the ability to walk (hike) great distances, so if needed 1-2 hour walks to get places are not a big deal to her. Dean is good with shorter walking distances. So wherever we stay, would need to be acessible by transportation with a maximum of 40-60 minute walk in addition.

1. We will not accept animals who are not bathroom trained (unless a baby or elderly animal and we do not mind helping train infant animals), or animals who are aggressive towards people. If the animal is aggressive towards another animal we must be informed, and you need to provide us with a type of muzzle during the stay to ensure everyone's safety during walks. We will accept any size of pet as long as they will listen, do not have any behavioral issues as we are unable to schedule a meet-n-greet prior to accepting the stay, are trained during walks (for larger dogs) and do not pull when walking or caring for them.
We will not accept any animal who is sick, as it puts us in a tight and tricky spot when traveling away from home, and while you are away. So please assess your animal and do let us know if you have any concerns. Please examine your animal before booking our services, and ensure that they do not have fleas, or any other similar issues.
