As a trusted, experienced, caring animal lover and house sitter, I am earnest and dedicated to what needs to be done to assist you by Diligently caring for your home, plants, garden, and loving pets.
Having experienced the passing of both of my cats (at almost 16 years old each), I chose to downsize from a 3-bedroom apartment, relocate back to the Toronto area, rent a room and live a more simplified life. This choice allows me the flexibility and mobility, even on short notice, to house/pet sit in various locations on various dates. I embrace change and going with the flow. I am a personable, open-minded, down to earth kinda gal with a good sense of humour. I am upbeat, lighthearted, adaptable, quiet, clean and neat! (sounds like a resume). I respect other peoples’ places, spaces, and boundaries. I am grounded yet love new adventures and exploring new opportunities.
My varied 21-year career in the IT industry, mainly as a PC Software Training and Support Expert/Instructor, in both a Corporate and College environment, eventually included becoming a QMS Advisor. My most recent career as an Addictions Counsellor spanned 7-years, which included additional roles as Intake Manager, and Admin Coordinator for the Adult Addiction Program. As life is to live and explore, I am now taking time to explore my next transition into a new and exciting career as an ESL Instructor!

Why I want to house sit
My belief is that pets are happier when they get to stay in their own familiar environment with someone that genuinely cares about their overall well-being during the owners' absence. I know what that experience looks like! When I had others look after my kitties, my concern was whether they would get the quality care they deserved!
With Respect and Responsibility: Just know that under my Wing your little ones will receive quality care, love, play and more! Under my Watch: Your house, plants and garden will be well cared for! Also: You will receive regular updates; and, at your request, your mail will be picked up, voice mail checked, and any important messages relayed.
Note: A copy of my most recent Police Check, dated October 10, 2016,
will be provided once accepted for the house/pet sit.

My experience
I have been house & pet sitting on almost a full-time basis since January 2016. I am very experienced with cats (especially rescue cats), and various types of SML dogs. My care for cats & dogs has included providing special needs; such as: giving medication, needles, assisting in recovery after surgery, teaching a deaf dog new ways of communicating, and food monitoring while they eat. My speciality is assisting rescue cats transition from shy, scared and skittish to being social, friendly and playful kitties wanting continuous pats, play, and lots of hugs. Both dogs and cats get lots of attention, brushes and loving care. I am more like a live-in Nanny for your little loved ones!
I am dedicated to the job/task at hand. To me animals are like young children who want/need/deserve lots of love, care and play, and to know they are protected. As an animal lover, I am able to quickly engender trust and a feeling of safety, while working within their routine to ensure stability.
Having had various types of family dogs, cats, and fish in years gone by, I have the interest and ability to care for and meet whatever needs you are seeking. Just tell me what their routine is and any special needs that might be required, and I will do what needs to be done.
Please note that previous homeowners of 'outdoor' cats, understanding my position and responsibility for their loved ones, have agreed to let me keep their kitties indoors. It is a heavy heart-wrenching experience to be responsible for 'outdoor' cats that may not return for their owners to greet them. I want to ensure they are safe and secure on my watch. Should you consider to let your 'outdoor' cats remain 'indoors' during my housesit, then please continue to review my profile and references. However, if you have a cat harness, I would be willing to go outside with Kitty! I have a leash!

Once again, Teri provided outstanding pre-visitations and dedicated care for my senior cat Oakley. In fact, he continues to go searching for her a week after she left...very unusual for him. She gave him all three of his essential meds according to schedule without hesitation and obviously played...
Once again, Teri provided outstanding pre-visitations and dedicated care for my senior cat Oakley. In fact, he continues to go searching for her a week after she left...very unusual for him. She gave him all three of his essential meds according to schedule without hesitation and obviously played with him a lot. I now get "paged' (yeowling) to get the laser light out and engage in creating romps back and forth across the upstairs hall. To top it all off, Teri left the house spotless! She is a fabulous and trustworthy house and cat sitter...highly recommend her!

Teri is absolutely wonderful. She came for 5 days to look after my cat, Harry. Harry took to her immediately. She was wonderful with him. She came with toys and treats for him. Teri is a real pro and you can tell she’s had lots of experience. She is totally responsible. I came home to a beautiful...
Teri is absolutely wonderful. She came for 5 days to look after my cat, Harry. Harry took to her immediately. She was wonderful with him. She came with toys and treats for him. Teri is a real pro and you can tell she’s had lots of experience. She is totally responsible. I came home to a beautifully neat and clean home. She’s very sweet and personable and I would certainly love her to come back. I would highly recommend her.
