Why I want to house sit
Housesitting gives me the opportunity to explore new communities and environments. It’s a way to explore more destinations and really get to know the places as a local, immersing myself into the local community. It is also a great way to experience local culture, nature and people. I really like to stay in one place longer than a tourist usually does.
I often distance work via computer. Housesitting beautifully fits my love of travel, while allowing me do my work. My plan is to take a few weeks or months off to work at a new place. Being away from my country for a while works very well for me. My idea is to do my best as a housesitter and to divide the rest of the time between my work and free time. My purpose is to keep things running smoothly while you're away and provide care to your pets and your house.
My boyfriend Jiri will sometimes accompany me on house/pet sitting assignments. He is a sculptor, he loves working with wood. Jiri is very practical and does all the minor repair jobs in our house. We are an independent and resourceful couple who can handle all kinds of environments easily.
My experience
I spent a year in Canada and Alaska travelling and volunteering (e. g. via World Wilde Opportunities on Organic Farms - taking care of animals, gardens, houses), worked for the Czech humanitarian organization People in Need as a humanitarian worker. I also had the opportuninty to work in a youth hostel (taking care of a house, garden, rooms, guests, and so on). I have done several kinds of voluntary and paid jobs till now so I believe I know how to take good care of your home. I'm considerate of other people's property. As a professional, Iʼm used to make decisions and to deal with whatever comes up. I fully understand how important it is for an owner to make sure their house will be in good hands. Iʼm new in the housesitting community and Iʼm looking forward to my first new experience via TrustedHousesitters and my first housesit. It makes my resposibility grow even bigger.
