I come from Finland. The Finns are generally recognised being very trustworthy and equipt with reasonable amount of common sense. I am outgoing, outspoken and obviously possess a fantastic sense humor. I am also a supertidy non-smoker who treats property of others with the highest respect. As having travelled and lived abroad in several different occasions during my life I consider myself very openminded and respectful of different cultures and ways of living.
I believe that agreed commitments should be honoured and I appreciate good communication. I pride myself having the highest integrity.
I really enjoy the company of horses, dogs and cats whom I have been surrounded so very often. At some point in my life I will be settling in the countryside and have at least the abovementioned animals roaming around.
Why I want to house sit
I consider house sitting giving me a rare possibility to experience the life in a foreign country as authentically as possible. Additionally, I love the idea of pets being able to remain in their home whilst the rest of their family is taking a break.
Whilst housesitting I might be partly holidaying and partly working remotely.
My experience
Ranch experience:
-7/2016 learning skills of a cowgirl/ ranch hand at the desert cattle ranch, USA. The ranch had 4 horses&4mules, 6 dogs, 1 cat, 500 heads of wild cattle and chickens.
Property experience:

- I have a summer cottage in Finland. The cottage is located in the rural area and it might be considered quite rustic according to the modern amenities of today. The property and the land around it needs to be maintained accordingly.e.g gardening, mowing the lawn and other "handy man" jobs that need fixing.

Christa is amazing! She made our first experience using TrustedHouseSitters such a great one. Christa is amazing! She made our first experience using TrustedHouseSitters such a great one. We were lucky enough to visit with her a bit after her long journey to LA before we left to visit family for a week and immediately felt at ease leaving our home and 4 animals in her hands. She left our home spotless, watered outdoor plants on very hot days and spent lots of time with our beloved pets. Our dog Jack was especially spoiled with multiple walks and excursions - his harness even fit looser when we returned and he's since taken to being more interested in getting in the car for outings. We would 10000% recommend Christa to anyone looking for a house/pet sitter and hope to cross paths with her again! Thank you Christa!

She is an amazing sitter. She is very caring, organized and she has great connection with animals. My cats were amazed on the way she was talking to them and I could see they felt almost immediately comfortable. The apartment was spotless when we came back. I totally recommend her.

Christa house-sat for us in Queensland, Australia for six weeks from December 2016 to January 2017. She cared for our cat Indy and our dog Sunny. When Sunny was lame, Christa took her to the vet twice, cared for her after anaesthetic, administered her medicine, and kept us well-informed of her progress. Due to Christa's care, Sunny soon was happy and pain-free again. Christa also willingly and capably undertook some pool care duties. Our car was included in the house-sitting arrangement, and Christa used it with care and returned it in the same condition as she found it. Christa is a very active person who enjoys walking and playing with pets. She communicated with us by text message and Facebook messenger in a timely and responsive way. We returned home to a clean and tidy home, and (most importantly) happy, healthy pets. We would definitely recommend Christa as a house-sitter.
