About Saara & Kai
We are a husband and wife team, both 51 yo, with no kids. We have a small farm but we both also work elsewhere. I work in Finnish Police, in the Forensic DNA lab of National Bureau of Investigation. My husband works at the moment as a carer for elderly people in a private company.

Why we want to house sit
We live on a small farm but love to travel. We have lived abroad for longer periods while studying/working (in USA and Australia) but obviously can't stay away for too long from our own place anymore. We have horses and two cats, have had chickens also plus I have a lot of experience of all kinds of farm animals being a farm girl originally! We have done housesitting before although not with Trusted Housesitters before. Would love to try this simply because we both love animals!
Our experience
We live on a small farm in Finland with horses. We have done housesitting before for friends here in Finland as well as in the US and in Australia. My parents are farmers and I have a M.Sc. degree in Agronomy from Uni of Helsinki plus a lower level degree in farming before that. I am also a certified Equestrian Coach and a Level 1 Centered Riding instructor. My husband has had to learn it all on the go :-) So basicly my daytime (paying) job is forensic DNA expert but all free time is spent doing farm/horse/animal related stuff!

Having known Saara all my life and Kai maybe 35 years- I can only say that they are the couple you want to trust your home and pets to.
They love animals Put their needs ahead of their own.
They take more responsibility on things that happen around them than most people.

Kai is very handy when it comes to things that need to be fixed or mended.
Overall - common sense and decency are the adjectives to describe them.
