We are a fun, creative, couple from New Zealand (Anna) and France (Flo). We've been fulltime traveling together for the past year now, and love stopping in to help care for people's pets, homes, and gardens along the way.

We are a fun, creative, couple from New Zealand (Anna) and France (Flo). We've been fulltime traveling together for the past year now, and love stopping in to help care for people's pets, homes, and gardens along the way.
Anna: A Kiwi, born & raised in Christchurch, New Zealand. I enjoy the company of pets and also the outdoors. I've grown up with a menagerie of animals all my life, and have years of experience with horses as well. Aside from that, I love to write, read, adventure, explore and get out in nature. I've been working remotely for a few years now, originally as a freelance writer but now I work as a technical & customer support engineer who helps people build websites.
Flo: Originally from Brittany, France; I work online as a French Teacher, but have also studied and worked as a chef, as well as an Au Pair in the past. I love to travel and have both lived & traveled in many different countries around the world. I love animals, especially cats & dogs, and some of my hobbies are cooking, drawing, football, and playing guitar.
Why we want to house sit
Despite all the amazing benefits of the remote working & traveling lifestyle, we miss some things like (especially) having pets, as well as a garden or a kitchen. House sitting works so well for us as we get the comforts of home to work in our jobs from, and get to hang out with & love some pets in the process.
Neither of us are big on the touristic aspects of a country, and we'd much prefer to get to know a new culture, location, or language by living in the more local neighborhoods, towns, and villages of a country.
Our experience
We are both really into nature and the outdoors, and have plenty of experience working in high-responsibility roles caring for both animals & children.
Anna: I've spent time on numerous workaway projects with both kids and animals, as well as a brilliant experience house sitting 5 incredible horses (as well as a couple of dogs, a cat and some chickens). I've worked in a number of high-responsibility roles in my life - volunteer EMT on ambulances, Volunteer medical coordinator for people coming to work with refugees, flight attendant and quite a few more. I also have lots of experience with animals, having had so many amazing pets in my childhood/teenage years, including growing up with both my own, and helping with other peoples horses and some experience with other farmyard animals.
Flo: I spent one year working as a fulltime Au Pair in Australia, where I cared for 3 kids as well as looking after the house and dog. I have a degree in Biology which fostered my interest in nature and the environment. I worked for L'oreal in a high-responsibility merchandising role for 200km of coastline in France where I learned to be responsible and work to my own schedule. After that, I went back to school to train as a chef, then set off and traveled to New Zealand.

Anna stepped in at very short notice, due to our original sitter getting sick. She quickly organised herself to arrive on the day we specified, so that we could do a proper handover, before flying out. What a relief! She immediately got involved, helping me with all the animals, so that she could...
Anna stepped in at very short notice, due to our original sitter getting sick. She quickly organised herself to arrive on the day we specified, so that we could do a proper handover, before flying out. What a relief! She immediately got involved, helping me with all the animals, so that she could learn what was needed. By the time I left, 2 days later, I was totally happy that she would manage our menagerie well.
On our return the horses, dogs, cat and chickens were all absolutely fine and the dogs, particularly Hooch, seemed to have completely fallen in love with her!
The weather had been particularly awful, but in spite of that Anna had kept on top of everything, ensuring the horses hooves were healthy, their manes and tails not tangled and the chicken coop was clean.
As you can see my main concern was the animals, but the house was also fine - you would not know she had been there.
So I have no hesitation in recommending Anna to anyone who needs their house and animals looking after. She did a wonderful job.- Organised

Anna is motivated and hard working. She spent two weeks in our house and kept it clean and tidy. She struck me as a deeply honest and trustworthy person, and I wouldn't hesitate to have her in my home again in the future.

Anna spent time living in our home in 2015 for a few weeks before she left for her overseas journey. We enjoyed her company (she is an intelligent and interesting young woman who has so much to offer) - it was like having a family member stay - and we were particularly impressed by her excellent rapport with our 4-year old. Anna has a respectful and friendly disposition and goes out of her way to help out around the house and is the most wonderful cook. We will have Anna back to stay at any time, and I recommend her unreservedly for any employ!
