We are a family of 5, who sold almost everything to travel the world. Our family is currently in Cairns, Australia on our first pet sitting assignment! Mike grew up traveling with his Air Force family, and Ren is a Brazilian expat turned American. Our children are Isaac who is 12(our little thinker), Bella who is 9(our little artist) and Zara who is 5 (the boss baby).
We love to travel and learn while doing it. Although Mike grew up in a house with many cats, and Ren rescued a stray dog by threatening her parents to run away with the dog at age 10. We currently don’t have any pets. We've tried hamsters, but this chapter in our lives, it would be too hard to commit to having another child, because you know that is exactly what a pet is, another family member. But we sure love pets. Our children bring the neighbor's dogs over all the time, when we are home.

Why we want to house sit
We find housesitting such a symbiotic relationship. You want someone to take care of your home and dear child/pet, and we would love to lower the cost of traveling by helping you take care of your home and pet. The added benefit for us is that our children who have been asking for a pet for years, get to have one for a while, and we still get to travel the world.
Our experience
Mike: Had at least one cat in his home from the day he was born til the day he left home. At one time, he had 4 cats. He's our resident cat expert.
Ren: Had a childhood dog she found on the street who was with us until she died of old age. In a previous marriage, I had two lovely dogs: an Alaskan Malamute/Wolf mix who was my soul animal, and a Great Pyrenees who was a big cuddly baby. Unfortunately, I couldn't take them with me, otherwise they would still be mine.
Our children have had 3 hamsters and they so wished they could love them like a bigger pet. They have pet their aunt's super smart Schnauzer and love small dogs too. We simply love animals and feel like they are just as good as any human.

Lovely family and our dog was well loved and happy. Even though they were a bit restricted due to some very inclement weather, (severe local flooding) the house and garden were kept neat and tidy.
