Why we want to house sit
We like the prospect of living in a different places without impacting our savings overly. Our experience leads us to believe that all aspects of this task are well within our capacity.
Our experience
We have run our own households for many years in South Africa and the Middle East. I have experience running complete households for elderly, disabled people in England as a live-in carer. My responsibilities included typically running an entire household including all aspects of home upkeep. I have a police clearances in England and Ireland.
We now have plenty of experience house-sitting in Ireland between April 2016 and December 2017 when we have had 12 successful house-sits.

Fantastic sitter. Had to deal with several unforseen circumstances regarding the property and dealt with it all as we would have ourselves. Contacted us only as necessary as we had arranged. The dogs and various cats were well looked after, happy to see us return but sad to see Dermot go. House w...
Fantastic sitter. Had to deal with several unforseen circumstances regarding the property and dealt with it all as we would have ourselves. Contacted us only as necessary as we had arranged. The dogs and various cats were well looked after, happy to see us return but sad to see Dermot go. House was spotless and tidy as we had left it. Highly recomended.

Dermot and Marinda were fantastic, they looked after our pets so well and our house was spotless when we got home. They are a lovely couple!

Dermot and Marinda supplied excellent care to my two cats for 3.5 weeks. Dermot also cut the lawn without being asked and was quite resourceful in other ways. It was reassuring when we rang to feel that all was under control at home. I would have no hesitation in recommending them as sitters.
