Hello! I am a Brit who moved to Sicily a couple of years ago with my dog, Rufus. I loved the dog walking community in the area in which I lived in London, but I was keen to travel, and my work was all internet based, so I took the plunge. I knew Rufus would hate being alone on a plane, so... two ferries, ten trains and a bus brought us to this beautiful island. Very sadly, I lost my sweet animal friend in April, he was so amazing, and I owe it to him for giving me the confidence to explore new places: he loved travelling and meeting new people and it was a wonderful adventure we shared.
But let me tell you more about me: I am a Personal Development Coach and for seven years I have been running my own small business. I provide life coaching - helping people work out what they need to do in order to move forward, workshops in self esteem building and inner critic silencing, career coaching and also help people with assertive communication and public speaking. I work online and all my clients are in the UK, US and Europe. I love my work, it’s incredibly rewarding and inspiring seeing people grow emotionally, discover strengths they didn’t know they had and getting past their invisible blocks.
I am also a writer and actually come from a film making and journalistic background. I used to make documentaries and write for magazines and work with my father on his films. My partner, Marco, from Rome, is an Artist, Plexiglas Designer and Gallery owner and we are both huge animal lovers.
I am really committed to encouraging compassion and social responsibility for all animals, raising awareness about animal rights and, for that reason, I have been a vegan for three years now. I have worked and lived in India and have lots of experience interacting with street animals, particular dogs. I love the individual personalities of animals and I think it is such a privilege to spend time with animals, they really are the best teachers!
Why I want to house sit
I enjoy travel, both alone and with my partner and discovering new places is so exciting. But for me, staying in real homes with the personality of the owners in the surroundings is so much more comfortable and a better way to experience a place than an anonymous hotel room. On top of that, staying with an animal in their home is a real pleasure, and for me, a much more peaceful and meaningful way to spend my timewherever I am. I enjoy walking, ideally with dogs as opposed to being alone, it makes it even more purposeful, and meeting pets and their owners along their way - I used to find having a dog was also a great way to break the ice and meet people. Actually, I met some of my best friends through my dog Rufus, come to think of it :)
My experience
I am responsible and respectful of other people’s spaces. I understand how valuable a home is and how precious an animal is to a family. I am a home owner myself with experience of several pets, and for me, they are family members through and through, and it’s a really honour to spend time with them, whether they are mine or other people’s. In the past, I have walked dogs and house sat while caring for cats and dogs. I’m totally comfortable with cleaning litter trays and hutches or picking up poop on a doggie walk. I don’t have pet allergies and I enjoy interacting with animals, playing and training.
I am very clean and tidy - I enjoy living in an organised space and would never leave someone else's home without cleaning after myself. I am respectful and quiet. I prefer spending evenings relaxing at home, reading, watching a film, a cup of tea and an animal by my side - perfect! :)
Side note: at present, my next availability is from 2nd February in London as I will already be making a trip over. But I look forward to house and pet sitting elsewhere later in the year too.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Pimmi as a reliable and trustworthy pet or house sitter. She looked after my two (demanding) Siamese house cats on several occasions staying in my home when I was away, and on one longer occasion she cared for them in her own apartment. She was always respectful and considerate of any pet or home arrangements I had, ensuring everything was well looked after and keeping in touch when needed. It was a great relief knowing Pimmi was there - she’s a safe pair of hands.

Pimmi and I used to be neighbours before she moved countries and she has house sat for us. Alongside being a general good egg, she is very organised, respectful and tidy and is wonderful with pets. Our bonkers mutt Poppy loves her and I totally trust Pimmi with her.
