Hello! We're Cecilia & Sebastian from Argentina. In April 2016 we decided to change our lifestyles to pursue our life-long dream: to travel around the world. In order to achieve this, we left our corporate jobs (as a lawyer -Cecilia- and a business owner -Sebastian-) and became digital nomads. We like to travel slowly to get immersed in the culture of the places we visit and, also, to be honest, because being over 30 we get tired of packing and unpacking too often ;)
We are animals lovers and love the idea to have the chance to have a place we can call home (for a while), and there’s nothing that says home more to us than the getting back to the love of an animal.
Cecilia has had pets from the day she was born: one cat, Shimmy, one canary, Pitu, and many dogs: Tisi, Minnie, Daisy, Dana, and Pancho. Pancho was a rescued dog that appeared in the door of her parents house when she was 13 years old and lived until she was 30, so you can imagine how special this last relationship was.
Sebastian has had many pets, too: one cat, Gatubelo, and several dogs: Lucas, Pupy, Frida, and Gretel. He always took care of them by cooking them food, walking them and, of course, playing with them. :)
We’re both very active and responsible people that are looking for a place to slow down, share the love of a pet and catch up with our projects and travel blog. If you choose us to take care of your home and animals, we commit to honor your trust by being always available for communication, keeping your house in perfect condition, have a tranquil life and love and care for your pet as if s/he was ours. Please take a look at our relevant experience below (we took care of three dogs, one cat, five kittens, and a hotel full of customers at the same time!).
Why we want to house sit
There are many reasons why we choose to housesit.
First of all, we’ve been traveling and moving around since April of 2016. Every couple of months we like to establish in a place we can call home for a while. Sure, we’d love to catch up with books and watching movies in Netflix in our laptop, walk around to know the neighborhood. But there’s more than that.
Our jobs require time and dedication, and staying in a single place helps us getting our pending articles written and our videos edited. You can check our travel blog here: www.holamondo.com and Sebastian's short stories blog: www.safarijirafas.com (they’re in Spanish, though, sorry!).
The downside of traveling is not being able to have a pet (and we’ve had pets all of our lives). So we’re happy to be able to take care of yours!
But that’s not all. Not moving around and changing rooms every day or two allows us enough time to have long Skype calls with our friends and family more often. Not to put any pressure on you, but if you choose us to housesit, our moms will be thankful! :)
Our experience
As we mentioned above, we both have had pets all of our lifes. Also, we’ve housesitted before many times for friends on holidays taking care of their cats, keeping them company, asuring they had fresh food and water, and always having the place clean. We also rescued a new born kitten and give him all the love and care he needed until we found a responsible home for him (we coulndn't keep him because of our upcoming trip). Now Julio is a happy cat and we love to get pictures of him regularly.
But there’s a more relevant experience.
We took care of a hotel and restaurant for three months in a small Cambodian island while the owners were away on holidays. There was no internet (and almost no phone signal) so we were pretty much on our own taking care of any issue with the place, the staff, and the tourists. They had three lovely dogs, Jumpy, Hubi, and Sheepy. We fed them, removed their ticks, and of course pet them and played together every day. They also had one very pregnant cat, Gamine. We were inseparable, she’d sleep next to Sebastian and chased him everywhere. While we were there, she gave birth to five lovely kittens. We took care of them, made sure the dogs wouldn't attack them, and looked after the mother to ensure she was well fed, rested, and taking care of her kittens. They were so cute! Being alone managing a hotel with demanding tourists and a cambodian staff who didn't speak english very well, with three dogs, one cat and five kittens was challenging. But an amazing time we'll always cherish! We can put you in contact with the owners in case you need any reference since it wasn’t through TrustedHouseSitters.

Cecilia came to stay with us two days before we left to get to know our Chihuahua Holly, learn about her routine and the workings of our home. Sebastian arrived later.
They sent frequent updates with pictures of Holly letting us know how she was doing and leaving me feeling very reassured!
They required no assistance from us during our absense.
We would love to have them stay with Holly in the future should our schedules coincide.- Organised

Cecilia and Sebastian are lovely. They took great care of my kitten whilst I was away and communicated daily and letting me know how he was, which I really appreciated. They were very flexible as I had a late flight they were happy to arrive later in the evening and I also arrived back a couple of hours earlier than expected but they adapted their plans to suit my schedule.
