We are a married couple in our late thirties who both worked at a senior level within the finance industry for a number of years. Our roles required both of us to have excellent time management skills and the ability to keep a cool head and think clearly in pressurised situations which I believe are very good skills to have when house sitting.

We are a married couple in our late thirties who both worked at a senior level within the finance industry for a number of years. Our roles required both of us to have excellent time management skills and the ability to keep a cool head and think clearly in pressurised situations which I believe are very good skills to have when house sitting.
We met at work and both worked for the same employer but unfortunately due to the global rescission our employer was forced to make a large number of staff redundancies and both of us found ourselves without a job at the same time.
We decided to turn what could have been a very negative situation in to a positive and we took the possible crazy decision to sell our belongings, purchase backpacks, and set off to discover the world.
We spent 5 years travelling and exploring the world, during which time we completed house sits as short as 3 days, and as long as 3 months (and everything in between) in a variety of countries such as France, England, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand & Thailand.
This allowed us to pet sit various animals such as cats, dogs, cows, tropical fish and even a pig!
We are both non smokers, hold clean driving licences, love animals of all shapes and size and enjoy new challenges and experiences.
During our travels we have volunteered on various projects which are briefly explained below:-
Sea Turtle conservation in Borneo
We volunteer for 4 weeks to live in a tent on a beach and live a very basic lifestyle on Pom Pom island in order to protect and monitor the turtle population.
Our core duties were to swim 1 kilometre at high tide, and low tide, and to count the sex, species and number of turtles. We averaged approx 100 turtles per kilometre which was simply amazing.
Our other responsibilities was to patrol the beaches every hour from sunset until midnight to detect any female turtles that may have come ashore to lay her eggs. We also acted as a deterrent to poachers who will steal the freshly laid eggs and sell.
If we detected a female turtle preparing to laying her eggs we would wait until she began the laying process and then remove the eggs by hand and place them in our secure hatchery where they would be safe until the egg hatched and the baby turtles are returned to the ocean.
Reef Conservation in Malaysia
We travelled to an island on the East coast of Malaysia called Lang Tengah to volunteer for 4 weeks to assist with replanting damaged coral reef in a hope that it would aid with the natural regeneration process. This involved us diving every day to a depth of 18 meters and attaching damaged coral branches to bottles sunk in to cement blocks (that we created earlier) to anchor the damaged coral and give it time to grow once again.
Why we want to house sit
Our purpose for house-sitting is to immerse ourselves into the local communities and also to provide a base for exploring the surrounding areas. We enjoy the travelling lifestyle but being in our 30's we also enjoy home comforts so feel that house sitting is the perfect balance of comfort and exploration.
Our experience
We have both owned properties individually and also as a married couple so we both understand what is required in order to keep a property clean and tidy.
We also owned a 30ft static caravan in France that we let out to paying customers so we know what it feels like to have guests staying in your property.
Charlotte has owned a number of cats over the years and Tim has owned an English red setter called Holly so we are both used to caring for animals and would ensure your pets are treated like royalty.
We have such a passion for cats that we visited a number of 'cat cafes' in China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore to pay to pet a cat while having a coffee so we could get our 'cat fix'!
To date we have house sat in a number of various countries around the world for a variety of animals which include dogs, cats, pigs, cows and tropical fish and received amazing references from every home owner.

Charlotte and Tim looked after our cat for two weeks while we were away on holiday. We couldn't have asked for better people to look after him and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. We received daily picture updates which we absolutely loved. Our house was left spotless when we returned home and we even received a welcome back goodie. The only complaint we have is that our cat might have loved them more than us by the end of the trip :)

Charlotte and Tim were house sitters for us during July and August 2017 (a period of 7 weeks). In this time, they were responsible for looking after our two (very active!) dogs. In addition, they managed our maid and made weekly payments to her. They also looked after and drove our car.

We simply cannot recommend Tim and Charlotte highly enough. They are two absolutely wonderful individuals. Throughout our period of absence, they kept us thoroughly up to date with the lives of our pets and happenings at home. Our dogs were well exercised every day. On our return, they picked us up at the airport, our house was immaculate, our car was valeted and filled with petrol/gas, and there was a warm meal on the table for us.
In short, Tim and Charlotte are tremendous, entirely honest and dependable individuals. I would hire them again in an instant, and I recommend that you do too.- Organised

Their task was a 4-week house sit in an apartment with three cats and some plants to look after. The Curries did an amazing job taking care of our home and kitties, they are a fun couple who loves animals. We had great communication during the house sit, they sent pictures and updates on a regular basis, which gave us a lot of peace of mind and let us enjoy our holidays even more. Highly recommended pet and house sitters!
