Mike and Jenny are an active couple living in Kerikeri in New Zealand's Bay of Islands and looking for house sitting opportunities in the UK. Mike took early retirement from the IT industry a few years ago to work on landscaping our property and now also works part time providing IT support to a local company. Jenny works from home on contract for a travel company based in Auckland. We would prefer 1-2 week house sits within our availability dates shown but would certainly consider any opportunities.
Why we want to house sit
Mike was born in England and we travel to the UK regularly to visit family and friends. We always enjoy our time in the UK and house sitting gives us the opportunity to experience life in less familiar locations and explore new pastures.
Our experience
Having owned a large property we are both well experienced with property care and maintenance. We keep our house very clean and tidy and would expect to do the same for any house sit. Although we don't have any pets at present we have had cats and dogs in the past so know how to care well for them.
We bring experience and a caring attitude as our references confirm. We are sure your property would be in safe hands with us. Please email us with any opportunities or questions.

We felt very much at ease leaving our cat and home with Mike and Jenny for a week. They were a pleasure to deal from our very first conversation, always very friendly and organised, and they treated both our home and Bowie (the cat) with respect and care, which we very much appreciated. It was lovely to receive little updates on how Bowie was doing. On our return the flat looked just as we left it, and Bowie seemed relaxed. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mike & Jenny for any future sits.

Reliable, honest and trustworthy Mike and Jennie done a great job of looking after out two spoodles whilst having a long weekend break. Mike and Jenny were fantastic house-sitters in every aspect.
Their contact whilst we were away was very welcome as it put our minds at ease knowing that everything at home was in safe and confident hands.

Our house and garden were kept beautifully whilst we were away despite terrible wet weather making any pet and garden care especially challenging. Everything was immaculate, and they totally understood our needs.
Mike and Jenny were superb house-guests and we would all (especially the animals) welcome them back again in the future. I can't recommend their house-sitting skills highly enough.
