We are an upwardly mobile artist/musician (classically trained) and a philanthropic location independent entrepreneur with a love for life and vast experience in traveling, languages and house-sitting!
Krista : Canadian born, my parents raised us as expats in North Africa, and later I spent my education between the USA and Canada. I moved to France after University to learn another culture and language, as well as pursue my conservatory studies. After 7 years of work, study, great food and incredible experiences, I moved to Montreal to start a doctorate. While touring with my solo musical projects, I discovered my holistic side and passion for organic food, meditation, and well being in Bali where I have been based in and out over the last couple of years. That is where I met Will who has been the perfect partner in crime for longterm, self employed traveling. I love animals, as I grew up on a ranch with horses, chickens, goats, dogs, cats, bunnies, snakes, turtles - you name it. Having lived from city to country - I have a depth of knowledge of car maintenance, bike/motorcycle, property management, gardening, material maintenance (wood/metal based on temperature) and can easily adapt my daily life to appreciate and maintain various properties.
I’m responsible and a bit of a perfectionist :). I love diving, surfing, swimming, yoga, and paragliding. I need a wholesome part of the day to be occupied by working on my art/music, normally at home, which gets a bit boring. This is why I love house sitting and changing the background. Otherwise the rest of my time is dedicate to curiosity, discovery, reading, and my loving partner.
Will : Born in the small village of Hong Kong, I was raised in New Zealand. With an affinity to all things tech, I trained and worked as a product design engineer. After a few years, the Kiwi travel-bug bit and I travelled North America and Europe. Returning home completely inspired I reinvented my career as a location independent web designer while I continued to travel, some of the best years of my life. I have lived in many settings including on a sail boat to Vanuatu. This lead to starting two successful software ventures before taking some time to explore my holistic side with yoga and meditation. I’m now dedicating a significant portion of my time to a philanthropy/business involving organic food. My business partner and I decided to do research in developing countries, Bali/Indonesia and fell in love with the surf, sun, people and my lovely partner.
I’m responsible, and I love sailing and surfing. I’m a homebody and I love a project or two just to balance my work life.
Why we want to house sit
We have both done extensive traveling - Krista as a free lance musician, Will as a location independent web designer - where we found ourselves in a certain place for longer periods of time. We are travellers but we also have personal responsibilities to our ventures. We are both been home owners and understand the need for reliable house-sitters and feel as though we would be the perfect match for house sitting, and house sitting would be the perfect match for us! As we both come from opposite ends of the world, we are not at the point that we would like to settle down into a particular spot quite yet, but we miss taking care of animals and a home. We are always fascinated by the people we meet, and those opportunities are so much more appealing on a personal level. We prefer to experience travel in a house sit verses always jumping from tourist trap to tourist trap!
Our experience
We are sincere, honest and problem solvers. Krista has been raised on a ranch with various animals and understanding of what to do in emergency. Also, she has also been raised in property management so she understand rules and regulations, condo conditions, parking regulations, etc. She has lived the cosmo life, having an understanding that certain pieces of furniture, or art items, might have more value, need more maintenance, or just personal respect. Will is a closet engineer that can pinpoint the problems in different property maintenance issues. He has a very relaxed and laid back energy. He has been in the business world, and keeps calm and thinks responsibly through crisis situations. We are both working in a fields that aren’t massive time commitments and can be very flexible with a strong level of communication. We understand that communication is a top priority to ensure that everyone is in the know!

Will and Krista were great at taking care of our house and pups for a month. They kept uninformed about the happenings and sent us pics of the dogs, which we very much appreciated. I would have no qualms about having them stay at our place in the future. I highly recommend them.
