Hi. My name is Leonor, I'm 27 years old and was born and raised in Portugal. I have studied and worked as an actress all my life until approximately 3 to 4 years ago when I decided to leave my career aside to follow my inner quest for peace. I have been traveling all around the world since then. Coming back occasionally to see my grandmother.
I describe myself as a tender and loving heart, passionate about nature and simplicity. I am quiet, love simple walks in nature, singing, meditating, animals and aged people.
Friends have often recognized the deep connection that gets established between me and their pets, and so for the last 2 years, I've been taking care of different pets, several times for the same pet owners.
I pride myself on taking care of your house and leaving it as I would my own - tidy & clean. I am also a non-smoker and apart from the very occasional glass of wine I am not a big drinker either.
Taking care of animals is one of my greatest joys, not only it gives me the possibility to be more at home and live a simple home-based life, but also because the love possible between humans and animals is indescribable and is one that touches my heart the most.
Why I want to house sit
Three years ago I left everything behind and started traveling after I realized that what I truly desired was a simple life and to travel. Quite spontaneously I have been discovering house sitting as a beautiful way to see this come to fruition. This, combined with the love and connection I have for animals is the most wonderful gift that I have been enjoying in my life.
My experience
My whole childhood I was surrounded by my dogs, two female German Shepherds. From that moment I felt that the bond between myself and pets became alive.
Apart from that I also grew up going almost every weekend to my grandfather's farm. There I grew up with seeing and taking care of thousands of different animals of several species. It all gave me an appreciation and sensitivity to all beings, with no distinction. I feel blessed by that.
Although I am newcomer to TrustedHouseSitters I have spend the last 2 years taking care of different animals. I've traveled to Belgium several times to take care of a big dog called Chops for long periods of time ( Approximately 1 month each time). I also pet sat several times for a lovely kitten named Summer in Bali. (I am currently in the Uk).

Kind heart, trustworthy, considerate, caring, loving & calm are just a few of the words that come to mind when I think of Leonor.

Leonor took care of our two dogs for a week in July. I had my reservations as I do not like to leave my dogs, especially with strangers, they are very much a big part of our family and my oldest dog (Leroy) has some behavioral issues. He doesn't warm to many people it takes him some time and even then when he doesn't like you he'll let you know!
We needn't have worried with Leonor. Her energy is so calm and intuitive, Leroy came around almost immediately. She handled him very well, in a way in which only people with experience and deep love for animals could.
She kept us updated with pictures and videos whilst we were away, it was so heartwarming to see the dogs so happy, and it allowed me to relax on my trip knowing that they were in safe hands.
We came home to a wonderfully clean and tidy house and very happy doggies! It was clear from the moment we came home that she had treated our house and dogs as if they were her own, and our dogs had fallen in love with her!
Our family feels totally blessed to have met her. She really loves animals and has the kindest heart.
She is now our number one choice when it comes to a sitter!
If you are lucky enough to get the opportunity for Leonor to take care of your home and little ones you should snap her up in a heartbeat.

I had the great pleasure of Leonor looking after my precious dog Slinky for a long weekend.
I truly cannot praise her enough. Not only was my dog perfectly cared for, but my home was actually neater than when I left it. In addition to that, she is fantastic company and a wonderful woman!

Leonor watched our house and 6 year old dog for 2 weeks. We returned to a spotless house in every way and a very healthy and happy dog. I am so glad we found Leonor and that she was available. She was easy to communicate with and sent pictures and videos which confirmed what we already knew that...
Leonor watched our house and 6 year old dog for 2 weeks. We returned to a spotless house in every way and a very healthy and happy dog. I am so glad we found Leonor and that she was available. She was easy to communicate with and sent pictures and videos which confirmed what we already knew that our dog and home were in good hands. We really appreciated that she wanted to make sure our dog was behaving in a normal way, like his habit of sleeping in till 10 or 11 everyday! I would love to have Leonor back again and would recommend her to anyone else who needs a pet/house sitter. Leonor has a heart of gold and absolutely deserves 5 stars.
