Hello there! :)
I am Ksenia, I spend my time equally between living in Spain and traveling all over the world. I like meeting new people, as well as spending a quiet time at home. Speaking of home, I call as "home" any place I am currently based in. I love animals, yoga & meditation, painting & reading, playing my ukulele & watching a good movie, walking in nature & listening to peaceful music.
Why I want to house sit
I travel most of the year, and I find house sitting as a good opportunity to try the taste of the local life-style. As a pet and apartment owner, I know what it is to find a reliable person to leave the most treasured creatures and things with. And I would be happy to offer this service to other people. Besides believing in karma, I love and respect people, animals and property.
I am a wedding photographer and online shop owner, so I am not really tight to one place and in the last 7 years I have been living in many countries, like Spain, Russia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka. I used to rent houses and apartments, and took care of them as of my own, as I am taught to love and respect not only people, animals, but things as well.
Back in my home country (which is Russia) I used to have a Shar Pei dog (the one with much skin and wrinkles), who peacefully died at the age of 12. Then I got two cats, both of them were stray cats. First I found one on the street, when it was -35C outside (I am from Siberia :), I took her home, and she turned out to be pregnant, so I had a chance to me a cat's midwife, hahaha. She delivered 3 kitties, and I started to promote them at local forums and communities until one day I got a call from the lady who found a new-born kitty, thrown away into the rubbish bin. She was asking if we could try to put this kitten to my nursing cat, so we did it. Eventually, I have found new "parents" for the 3 native kitties when they were 2 months old, and the adopted one stayed with us. Since then my cats think they are mother and daughter. Now they are happily living in my apartment in Russia with my friends, as I travel a lot, and I can not take them with me.
Beside that, I found other stray cats, helped them to heal and found new owners, so I have quite a big experience of taking care of pets.
Sometimes I travel alone, and sometimes with my husband. I am a citizen of Russia, and a resident of Spain, and currently I am based in Barcelona, but I love to travel and to stay a long time in one place to feel what it is to live there. Who knows, maybe one day I will find a place which would feel like Home on Earth.
