I am based in Sweden, Northern Europe but travel to assignments all over the world. I am semi-retired and am currently writing a book.
If you ask me to describe my personality I would say that I am a pragmatic problem-solver and always interested to learn new things. Add a pinch of creative aspirations and you start to get the picture.

Why I want to house sit
The creative work that I do (writing/photography) can be done from any location and I find myself being more productive when not at home in my country. House/pet-sitting allows me to extend my stay with a reasonable cost of living while gaining new experience and influences. It's a great way to spend time abroad! I also like outdoors and active lifestyles and caring for pets often combine both.
My experience
I am a calm, mid-50's man with a responsible and attentive character. I am socially capable and easily get in touch with locals, but am also perfectly comfortable with solitude if your home is remotely located.
Although I can't do any heavy lifting, I know how to handle a saw and hammer and have always had gardens to care for.
Good experience with animals. I have bred Labrador dogs, owned cats, ridden horses and become friends with a Marans rooster.
I do not smoke or drink. I speak and write English, Spanish, Swedish fluently and try my best at a little bit of French (which I would like to practice more).

I first met Mike around 1976 as we enrolled in Sigtuna Skolan (same school our current King attended). After graduation we kept in touch and at one point played in the same band (Mike played drums).
