I retired 2 years ago after working for Leicestershire Police for 20 years. I don't have a pet at this time but do have experience of owning both cats and dogs, which included Siamese cats and Labradors, also fish, gerbils and small caged birds. I do miss having a furry friend but friends allow me to be auntie to their pets so I do get the walks...
I retired 2 years ago after working for Leicestershire Police for 20 years. I don't have a pet at this time but do have experience of owning both cats and dogs, which included Siamese cats and Labradors, also fish, gerbils and small caged birds. I do miss having a furry friend but friends allow me to be auntie to their pets so I do get the walks and the cuddles. I am a home owner and have lived in a variety of houses both large and small, maintaining both the house and the garden. I am prepared to sit almost anywhere and my availability is flexible. I can speak some basic get by Spanish.
Why I want to house sit
I love animals and feel a bond with them, house sitting would enable me to satisfy and share some love as I am not in a position to offer a pet especially a dog a home at this time, as I want to travel and like you I do not want to use kennels or a cattery. I would also be able to look forward to the experience of new locations and meeting new people. I will always attempt to visit you before a sit.
My experience
I own my own property which I maintain to a good standard so I am able to look after your property or if unable to rectify any problems I would be able to contact and liaise confidently with any tradesmen etc.. I have had the pleasure of owning a variety of pets and spending much of my childhood on family farms in Lincolnshire where I came into contact with cattle,horses and other farm yard animals, as well as farm dogs and cats and kittens. We had dogs and cats at home from a very early age, my Mother bred poodles.

Phillipa was a lovely house sitter looking after Penny our cat so well and leaving our home clean and tidy.Great communication with photos and reassurance that Penny was absolutely fine. Penny beautifully cared for and very content .Would highly recommend Phillipa.

Philippa was kind and sent me updates on Poppy, and was very easy to work with. There were a few challenges here such as the Aga, but Philippa took them in her stride. I would welcome her back to look after poppy another time.8
