As a homeowner myself, I know how important it is to be confident that your home will be in good hands, and that you'll come home to find it as you left it. I'm tidy and conscientious, so if problems arise while you're away I will do everything I can to resolve them.
I have many years' experience caring for cats and dogs, and would be happy to send regular updates so you know they're being well looked after. I'm also a keen gardener, so caring for plants or vegetables won't be a problem.
My home is in London and, because I work remotely, I love spending time living in other parts of the world. I work as a digital communications specialist for charities and not-for-profits, and I'm a keen reader, swimmer and cook.
I'm new to this site, so have no reviews as yet, but I'd be happy to provide references on request.
Why I want to house sit
I love exploring new places and meeting new people, and because I’m able to work remotely I’m keen to take this opportunity to visit places I’ve always wanted to go to. I also really value having a temporary home, as opposed to a hotel or hostel, and being able to do someone a favour by caring for their home or pets is an added bonus.
My experience
I’m both a pet and homeowner, so I appreciate the high standards expected of a housesitter.
I grew up on a farmhouse in northern England, surround by dogs, cats, horses and chickens, and I played an active role in looking after them. I’ve also had my own cat in London for the past 10 years - the very large and imposing Sid, who came from a cat rescue centre and found the stable home he sorely lacked.
I have looked after friends’ pets and homes on many occasions, usually just visiting a couple of times a day but also staying over if required.

Jamie sat for my dog for four weeks over the summer. He was organized and responsive in the lead up to the dog sit. He arrived early in order to learn the ropes (training details when on walks etc.) and spend time with my dog. He provided regular updates through my trip and made adjustments as needed to adapt to my dog's needs as she is a little older. This gave me piece of mind that she was doing fine while I was away. He was considerate of house etc. and left the place in good shape upon his departure. I would certainly recommend Jamie for future dog sitting opportunities.

Jamie has looked after our cats on a number of occasions. He is reliable and does a great job looking after the place. The cats always seem very happy when we return. I am confident entrusting our home to him.
