I'm a wanderer by nature, I love seeing new places and meeting new people, and wish I could see everywhere. I love animals, history, the arts. I'm definitely a bit of a nerd.
I was born in England and spent my childhood south of London (Berkshire) but moved to Canada at age 11. Spent most of my life in Canada and lived all over the country for five years before moving back to England in 2015.
In addition to looking after your pets and home, I'm always happy to keep you updated as often as you like. I'll frequently take pictures as well (I'm an avid photographer) so you can see how they're doing.
Why I want to house sit
I house and pet sat for 2 years full time just over a year ago. In that time I looked after 15 households all over the UK, and more dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, horses and other pets than I can list. It was a great experience and I'm happy to do more.
My experience
-2 years of pet sitting full time (I used a different site all that time, I've added a few of my endorsements below), I completed 15 sits in that time and was starting to have referrals, as well as repeat hosts.
-I've been a night porter looking after 3 hotels for a year and a month now, I'm quite used to roles where trust, responsibility and protecting property, people or pets are key
-had every kind of pet growing up
-I handle dogs very well, my first housesit was looking after a very large doberman with a nervous temperament. I particularly love large dogs, especially the german shepherds I've looked after (but I never play favourites...all animals are great!)
-cats seem to take to me so quickly that it often surprises the hosts when their indifferent mog immediately wants my attention

Robert was just fantastic! He is kind, caring, neat, and just a great human being (and also an extremely talented artist!). He took care of our two dogs for 3 weeks as if they were his own, and that meant the world to us. We also received regular updates with photos. As a bonus, our house was spa...
Robert was just fantastic! He is kind, caring, neat, and just a great human being (and also an extremely talented artist!). He took care of our two dogs for 3 weeks as if they were his own, and that meant the world to us. We also received regular updates with photos. As a bonus, our house was sparkling clean upon return. We can highly recommend Robert's services!
