My formal background (University studies) 2 degrees in Renewable Energies and Mechanical Engineering. I work on this in my spare time. I also sell Antiques, clothing, and jewelry online. I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia: however I have been living in California for the last 4 years. I have been babysitting my landlords turtle, Ms. Puppy, for the last 2 years. She is a daily joy.
Why I want to house sit
I like the vibrancy of living in a new area. I do love to travel. It gives me great inspiration (a.k.a. it can get pretty tedious crunching numbers for energy outputs of designs) to my Beyond Renewable Energies work, my online businesses, and the people with which I come in contact routinely. Plus, I really do enjoy pets in all of their varieties of looks, just as in the variety of their demeanor. It's fun trying trying to figure these nuances out. It is an honor to learn and help to protect, love, and make the animals at your home feel just safe, cared for (food, exercise), and played with when you are gone. Also, I try to read their mannerisms, so they are able to stay calm the most and feel relaxed. It's their home 1st.
The Most at One time, I've done. Pet sitting for 7 English Setters, one other puppy that had to be walked 2X's per day, 2 Cats (one 13 years old (so tiny, so frail, and so, so, so, so sweet), Plant care, and home business fluidity (shipping packages) was the most I have done at one time! I loved it, it was so vibrant (animals), active (I was so nervous to make a shipping error - worked out fine!), and fun! It was such a breath of fresh air to get away from my daily routine, I loved it!
Currently, I am babysitting my landlord's water turtle for 2 years. She plays a lot, she follows me around the room in her tank. And, she will crawl up in my hand, out of the water when she wants to play or be held. I also have babysat her Maltese, Lady, when she goes on vacation - this includes bathing, walkin, feeding, and the restroom breaks. I water her lawn, get her mail, take out the trash.
For family, I have also pet cared for two Maltese while my aunt was away for various weeks at a time. Then, I did care for an indoor dachshund, and outdoor mix, while doing lawn and pool maintenance for years for my second aunt.
I baby sat a person's hamster, my sister's gerbil. Also, me personally. I have had a cat, Mr. Morris, for 13 year. I had a hermit crab as a pet. Many different type fish, a dwarf rabbit - named Hops-a-lot, a deaf Persian White Beloved Devilish, Precocious Ms. Ishkabibble Cat!
So, I do love animals. Poisonous ones - well I try to stay clear of them. Even snakes I like, lizards I love, too.
So, let's play pets.
