Why I want to house sit
I have been living in beautiful San Diego, but there are too many places I would like to see while I am in good health and not terribly old. Having accommodations when traveling is the greatest expense so pet and house sitting will enable me to actually travel.
My experience
1) I have pet sit in 9 states in the USA over 25 times, in Australia twice for dogs, cats, chickens, fish, rabbits, sheep, horses and cattle and once in the UK. I have helped with goats and birds. When I pet sit I also water plants and gardens, mow lawns, put out trash cans and keep the house clean. I have done minor repairs as well.
2) I volunteered at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah twice where I helped with cats, dogs, horses, pigs, rabbits and wild critters.
3) I owned a cargo van for 3 years and delivered freight nationwide. When wanting to go coast-to-coast to visit family, I would find items on uShip.com to transport and many were dogs. I can explain to someone how to look at my 100% positive feedback from clients on that site.
4) I helped my daughter and son-in-law start the mobile dog grooming business they owned from 2006-2013 by being their first full time groomer until July of 2007. I can still bathe, brush, trim nails, express anal glands and do hair trimming.
5) I handle pets with a soft voice and calm manner. I become very attached to the pets I care for and tend to miss them terribly when I leave.
6) I am respectful of your home and don't put wet glasses or cups on wooden furniture, I leave my shoes at the door and your pets will be sad to see me go.
7) I am scheduled to house and pet sit in Tucson in April and have various family events over the next few months but am always looking to fill the gaps.
8) In my prior career I was a police officer for 20 years (AZ) and have since done lots of commercial driving, worked at 2 winter Olympics, 1 Super Bowl, worked in Ketchikan, Alaska 2 summers, at a girls camp in Maine one summer, helped with the grand kids and many, many other things.

Cathy was so fantastic. She watched my 2 pets for 6 days, and left the house immaculate on top of her animal watching responsibilities. She regularly sent me emails and updates, videos as well. Without question I will use her again, only hope she is available when the time comes.

Cathy is confident, competent, and one of the best sitters I've ever had. She is very experienced with handling animals and in taking care of a home. When I returned, my young Vizsla pup had been tutored in walking better on a leash. All three pets were happy and healthy and my house was clean. Weeks after she left, I continued to find surprises of little things she had fixed or organized. I highly recommend her. A perfect house sit and I would invite her back in an instant.

Cathy was very organized and thorough in learning how to take care of this large group of dogs and cats. She was kind and careful and paid attention to detail. Everything looked better than when I left and all the animals were calm and didn't really care when or if I showed up, they were quite comfortable with her. She even made friends of the most feral of the cats. I was so grateful to have her caring for me, the house and the dogs and cats.
