I do research for a living (how to improve organizations and help leaders be more effective), and Dave is in finance. The kids do standard kid things (basketball, theater, ballet, dog sitting for people who are training guide dogs). We're interested in this as an option when we travel because we prefer to stay in homes (we like to cook at home rather than eat out) and we like having animals around.
Why we want to house sit
We prefer staying in homes rather than in hotels. We love pets (and miss ours while we are away), so it seems natural to house/pet sit if there is a good fit.
Our experience
We stay in AirBnB or VRBO and have good ratings (is there a way to show that on the site?) We own a home and keep it up. We have pets that we take care of - both our own and friends' pets when they are out of town.

I have known Jennifer for almost 20 years, and I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending her as a house and/or pet sitter. Jennifer is one of those people who is a perfect combination of kindness and competence. Jennifer has had pets throughout her life, and she is very experienced in caring for them. Her organized nature is easy to see in how nicely kept her house is. More than that, though, she is the type of person I would be completely comfortable having watch my house, my pets, or my children. In fact, we decided to have my oldest child stay with her while I was in the hospital giving birth to my younger child. Due to unexpected complications, I was in the hospital for longer than I anticipated, and it was tremendously comforting to know that I did not need to worry about my older child. Jennifer did a wonderful job of making her feel comfortable and taking care of her, just as I knew she would.
It is hard to leave your house or your fur baby in someone else's care, but it is much easier when you know everything is in good hands, and Jennifer is the type of person who helps you feel at ease knowing that everything will go smoothly. I give her the highest recommendation.- Organised
