My husband and I have been married for over 36 years. We currently live in Sunnyvale CA. We both just retired and are starting a new phase in our lives. We are active and love seeing new places. We are both Vegetarians and love to walk.
We have been pet owners as well up until a while ago. We recently lost our sweet 16 1/2 year old toy Pomeranian. We understand how precious pets are!
We have thought about trying to replace her, but instead we decided to wait so we can do a little traveling ourselves before we start the puppy stage over again. When we discovered Trusted House Sitters we instantly joined and thought that this would be a wonderful way to help others and allows us a chance to be around pets. We have had a great experience with this organization!

Tom & Terri were excellent house sitters/guests from beginning to end. They were flexible (even when our plans changed on our travel day back to WA), responsive, responsible, and they left our home cleaner than when we left! Our (typically shy) cat Henry warmed up to them quickly, and they sent me a daily update and photo (per request). Thank you again Tom & Terri! I highly recommend them.

Terri and Tom were amazing! They took great care of all our animals and left our house super clean. They went above and beyond to ensure that we came back to welcoming home! Both of them are very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend!

I don't even know where to start. These guys were superb beginning to end. Terri and Tom came in the night before we left and had dinner with us. It was like we had known them for years. They were very social and pleasant people. Our animals seemed to gravitate to them immediately. When we returned they stayed the night and in the morning our dog, Stack, was scratching the bedroom door so he could go hang out with Tom who was on the couch. Terri and Tom definitely have a way with pets and I would definitely recommend them for both house and pet sitting. Tom is also a contractor so he helped point out some things we could do to improve the house. If you're looking for sitters, you've found the diamonds in the rough right here.
