A bit about me - I'm self-employed, coaching people who are improving their English (the video was made for my work), I work online, walk and/or run 10000+ steps a day (gymnast, fitness instructor, swing dancer; I look forward to the physicality of becoming a master dog walker), listen to personal development podcasts (nutrition, fitness, wellness, frugality, minimalism, language study), love exploring new places but also introverted quiet time at home. Why I want to house sit
I'm currently seeking inspiration from new environments. I work online so I can be mobile, like to keep my life simple but also crave the company of some sweet animals from time to time!
My experience
Growing up, my family had small dogs (a Yorkie and a Chihuahua mix rescue). I'm looking to learn more about proper dog handling and training, as well as raising farm animals such as chickens and goats. I'm interested in housesitting because though I can't wait to have animal companions on my future homestead, I am still exploring the world and have not found "the" one place.

Emi was very easy to communicate with, she took good care of our cats and we had pictures and updates sent whenever we asked. She took care of hour home and left it clean and tidy. It was both ours and Emi's experience on Trusted Housitters and we're glad it went well! Would recommend.

Emi took care of our cats in an excellent way: when we got back they were playful, well fed and looked happy.

I have known Emi for... wow, over 20 years! In that time, I have always experienced her to be calm, respectful, kind, a good listener, and good with her word. I have been a guest in her home and found her to be gracious and thoughtful, and her home was pristinely clean and ordered. I also know that she really loves animals, travelling, dancing, and having new experiences. Emi has a kind of spacious, relaxed way about her that puts me at ease and makes me appreciate the moment. I would have no hesitation entrusting my own home to Emi - in fact I would expect her to take better care of it than myself! I also think animals would really appreciate her calm, listening affection.

She is always respectful of the spaces in which she stays whether it is a table at a shabby food stand in Downtown Portland or an Airbnb apartment in Paris.
