About Pamela
Aloha! I'm Pamela. I've had the wonderful opportunity to travel throughout my childhood years with my family, study abroad while at university, and have continued to explore the world as an adult. The travel-bug bit me while I was young and I'm still still scratching that itch!

I also have the joy of living on a small homestead here in Hawaii with goats, chickens, dogs, parrots, and am the caretaker for a donkey. Animals, along with travel, play a key role in my mental well being. Being able to combine the two is a bonus!
Why I want to house sit
As I stated in my "about me" section, both travel and animals are two of the things that make me tick. When I have the time and opportunity to leave my little slice of paradise, I like the chance to visit someone else's home (either through AirBnB, VRBO, or Housesitting). It gives me a much more "real" experience in a place than staying in a hotel. Plus, I get the chance to meet pets/farm animals! Taking a dog on a walk in a neighborhood makes a house feel like a home in a way that no hotel ever could.
My experience
I have not yet been a house sitter, but I run an AirBnB/VRBO here on the Big Island of Hawaii. We are booked year round, but our busy season begins the end of November through April. We are normally booked every single night.
I coordinate bookings, cleaning the unit, interact with guests, make recommendations of activities/restaurants/beaches, introduce guests to our dogs/goats/chickens/donkey...it's fun!
