I am an enthusiastic and curious traveler, a pet lover and a home safety freak. I am a professional fund-raiser at major US health center and I enjoy meeting people. I can't wait to meet you and your pet(s). I am flexible and I will treat your home, property, and especially your pet, like my own.

Why I want to house sit
Exploring both large cities and quiet locations are experiences that give me joy. I am an experienced traveler and seek opportunities to see all areas of the world, both large urban cities and rural communities. I'm at peace near the water and I love exercising by walking animals. Your pet is my pet, I will share love with your animal.
My current community service is president of our library foundation board. When traveling, I head to the library, often getting a library card and checking out a book on local history, the buildings are often unique, I'd like to visit yours.
My experience
I have experience giving insulin shots to a diabetic dog and meds to a cat and a dog. My natual instinct is to meet your needs and take care of your property and family pets. My family owned and operated a hotel on a lake in the midwest United States so I am willing and able to keep your home in order and tidy.

This is the first time for us using Trusted Housesitters and we couldn't have been more delighted to have Martha watch our 10 year old Airedale and watch over our home . Lizzy was well cared for and when we came home she was as good as she always is. It definitely gave us peace of mind knowing someone was watching out for our sweet Airedale and our home. An extra bonus was how clean and tidy Martha left the house. Thank you Martha. We do hope you'll want to return to take care of Lizzy and our home again.

Martha was a good communicator and sent us regular pictures and updates for our pets while we were traveling. We have a special needs pup who is insulin dependent and Martha was comfortable with the injections which can be hard to find.

This is the second time Martha has taken care of our dog, Clay, and cat, Sammy. If Martha were always available, we would never look for another pet/house sitter again! (Sadly she lives several states away and is employed full time.) We have had many sitters over the past three years, and they don't come better than Martha. Our "kids" love her (we received several pics of their happy faces while we were away and updates), and we have returned to a spotlessly clean house each time. And if that isn't enough, Martha is a lovely person whom you'll instantly want as your new best friend. We're already looking forward to her next sit for us in July.
