About Leslie & Ernie
Leslie is a "Jill of all trades and master of none," - a phrase her late Father used of himself (substituting Jack of course). She's been an Executive Assistant, an Executive Chef, a Strategic Planner, a Newspaper Writer and Photographer, a Job Coach and Advocate for people with disabilities.. She'd still like to become an artist and a Sommeli...
Leslie is a "Jill of all trades and master of none," - a phrase her late Father used of himself (substituting Jack of course). She's been an Executive Assistant, an Executive Chef, a Strategic Planner, a Newspaper Writer and Photographer, a Job Coach and Advocate for people with disabilities.. She'd still like to become an artist and a Sommelier, and perhaps write a book or two.
Ernie spent 25+ years mixing live sound for bands and churches and designing high end home theater, sound, and automation systems until the housing crash in 2009.
That's when they opened a restaurant together. A few years later, they changed their hospitality focus and became live-in operations managers of retirement communities.
Now they are traveling together, exploring what their next phase of life might look like. House and Pet sitting has become a great vehicle to do just that!
Why we want to house sit
After years of long hour days and care-giving, we are taking a break from the hectic pace of hospitality management - a sabbatical or hiatus if you will.
We LOVE to travel. House sitting has become a great way to do that, with the added bonus of pets to love and care for.
We lost our beautiful kitty of 14 years last year, and house sitting has helped us fill that void by giving love to other people's pets!
Our experience
Now that we have a couple long-term sits under our belts, we feel confident in taking care of households with one to eight pets. We are highly responsible and very loving. We would love to sit with your pets!

This was our first sit and Leslie and Ernie took the worry out of it for us by being very easy to communicate with to get our sit set up. Our newer puppy is being house trained still and they listened to all of his particular needs with interest and care to give him the help he needed while we were away. I can't say enough about how calming it was for me to have them be our first house sit and help walk us through what we could expect. She also took the same care of our home that we would and when we returned she had made a lovely dinner for the family and our house was left clean and tidy. What a surprise and she is seriously a wonderful cook....her passion shows!! Both Ernie and Leslie loved on our dogs as we do and played with them, taking them for the long walks they need to get their exercise at the state park. I can't say enough wonderful things about them....Kind, Caring, Attentive, and Loving...you will not regret having these two wonderful people sit for you!! Thank you so very much Leslie and Ernie!!

We were very happy with the care we received by Leslie and Ernie. Our cat, Buddy, seemed very calm and well taken care of when we returned.
Our house was in order and clean and the place looked like no one had been here.

Leslie is a keeper! She was so good with my somewhat needy dogs. They were all calm and happy when I returned home. . . a sure sign that they received a lot of attention. Not only was she good with the dogs, but she left my home in amazing condition. One of the best house sitters I've used!
