Namaste ya'll! I was taught to care for a menagerie of animals by my game warden father on a small family farm in Southwest Louisiana - then spent the last 25 years raising 3 children & their pets through 14 moves - all below the Mason Dixon line - I'm an alignment/trauma certified yoga instructor & addicted to reading, cooking, & gardening.

Why I want to house sit
I have an awkward combination of gypsy blood mixed with a strong nesting & nurturing instinct - My children say I'm like a dog in that each & every time we moved, I'd say "now this is my favorite place!" - Transitioning into retirement, house/pet sitting fulfills both my deep love of animals & of travel.
My experience
I have been a neat & organized housekeeper/gardener for 25+ years with a wide variety of animal husbandry skills. In addition, have lovingly cared for many homes & a large cache of fur, fin, & scaly babies in the states & overseas.

Having Alisha and her family stay with our kitties over the Thanksgiving holiday was WONDERFUL! Alisha is so very communicative and her whole family is thoughtful, clean and clearly loved on the kitties (they miss Alisha and her family already). They left our home spotless - actually cleaner than when we left it! We hope Alisha and her family will come back through our area again soon - but this time maybe even stay as guests!

Alisha was absolutely wonderful! She was so warm and kind, and I was grateful for the lovely conversation during the drive to our house! I wished we had been able to spend more time together before we had to rush to the airport! She took most excellent care of our beloved cat Danger-- complete with photo updates-- and left the house even tidier than it had been upon our departure-- with great attention to detail! I would highly recommend Alisha to care for your home and pets!

Alisha stayed with our two cats recently and she did a great job. The cats were happy and well cared for while we were gone. The house was in great shape when we arrived home again and she even left food in the fridge for us since we were delayed getting home and she needed to leave earlier in the day. We would highly recommend her and would gladly have her sit with our boys in the future.
