Responsible, experienced grad student seeking U.S. house-sits while writing my thesis

I'm a 28 year old American graduate student at a German university, working towards a degree in Sustainable Development. Currently I'm embarking on my thesis and trying to decide what I want to do once I'm finished (going for another degree versus starting full-time employment).
Other than that I'm an avid traveler, having spent over 5 years over my life abroad (mainly in Germany) and traveled to around 30 countries. I love experiencing a new culture, food, way of life and learning about different people's perspectives on the world.
In addition, I enjoy outdoor activities, reading, cooking/baking, yoga, museums, politics, music, art galleries, road trips, mountains, coffee and (of course!) animals.
Though it's not a deal breaker, part of the reason I'm coming back to the States while I work on my thesis is to visit with friends and family, so, especially for longer house sits, it would be great if you are open to my having an occasional visitor.
I can provide personal references upon request.
Why I want to house sit
Travel with the addition of furry companions? What's not to love about that!
In all seriousness, ever since my furry best friend passed away, I've missed the company of a pet and though my lifestyle isn't currently conducive so having one of my own, I'm thrilled when I get to be around someone else's. You can be sure that I'll give your pets the same care and affection I would give my own.
In addition to that, I have a deep-seated passion for travel and, since working on my thesis doesn't require me to be in any given place, house sitting has given me a great opportunity to explore some new places while I work.
I'm more than happy to be just about anywhere, from urban centers to remote rural hideaways, all that really matters to me is a decent internet connection (for working on my thesis) and the ability to get around for groceries, etc without needing a car of my own.
My experience
I got into house sitting in September 2018. Since then I've completed 4 (and in the midst of a 5th) house sits in Belgium, Germany and Switzerland.
I've also house sat on multiple occasions for my parents. They're professors and often travel during the summer months, so I've looked after their apartment on some of those occasions. Additionally, during my year as an au pair in Germany, I sometimes stayed home when the family was away and looked after the house and plants.
I have quite a bit of experience with dogs and cats. I wore my parents down and they got us a family dog, Marcus, when I was 8. I always had a lot of responsibility for his care growing and and he lived with me for multiple years after I moved out of the house before he passed away. I've also found myself in a variety of living situations with a varying number of cats and/or dogs and I've helped to look after friends pets while they were away and often times in return they helped look after Marcus when I was away.
I have some experience around smaller pets, snakes and horses and though I've never been the main person responsible for them, I'd be happy to come to your home a bit early so you can show me the ropes!
Finally, though I have limited experience with house sitting or pet sitting for strangers, I've been a long time user of AirBnB, which is similar to house sitting in that the host is often trusting you in their personal home. Gwen was really fantastic! She is a very friendly and reliable person and the communication was fast and very easy. You can immediately see that she is an experienced animal lover, who looks after your animals with all her heart. She is also easily capable of making her way around, so we felt really at ease on our vacation, knowing Gwen was here to look after our lovies. We can highly recommend her to any hosts. We would always ask her to sit again.

Gwen was a wonderful house sitter, she was easy to work with, very reliable in her communication, took great care of the cats and left the house clean and exactly as requested. We would love to have Gwen sit for us again and highly recommend her to others. Thank you Gwen!
