Marilynne and I have been married for 38 years, and have been cat people for our whole marriage. I am a full time software developer, and would likely be working from your home while we take care of it and your cats. Marilynne is a business owner, with three separate ventures going depending on the season of the year. We love to travel and meet new people. We're non-smokers, don't use drugs, and are light drinkers. Our unusual hobby is that we both play baseball in the Cincinnati Reds Fantasy Baseball Camp - and we're not teammates - we play on opposing teams so we have twice as many stories to tell about the camp.
It would be helpful if your home has an internet connection so I can do my software work.
We prefer that your home be non-smoking.
Why we want to house sit
Our last cat passed away in 2017, and we're traveling too much to feel good about getting more cats that we'd be away from. So for now, we'd like to combine traveling with caring for your cats.
Our experience
We've done about all there is to do with caring for cats, including giving medication as needed and giving IV fluids. It's no problem to do yard care if it's needed while you're away, and we'll always leave your home in the same or better shape than when we arrived.

I have known Alan and Marilynne for decades, and have experienced their exemplary character and integrity first-hand, many times over. When they offered to stay in my home during two of my husband's and my vacations, our home was kept clean and in perfect condition, actually better than when we left it, and my three pets were entertained and content. As pet owners for almost all of their adult lives, they know how to provide care and companionship to all animals, and especially those that may need extra TLC when their humans are away. With a dedicated work ethic, common sense, and respect for their surroundings, they bring a firm sense of security and awareness to a household, and all responsibilities surrounding it. I have full trust in their abilities and reliability.
