Hi, we're Les and Nancy, aka the kitty whisperer (Les) and the chicken wrangler (Nancy). We're caring, competent, animal loving retirees who have whole-heartedly embraced full time house sitting. We would love to get our hands dirty in your garden, take long walks with your pups, snuggle your kitties and keep your house in tip-top condition.
We love traveling, learning about new cultures and sharing ours. We've built homes, owned homes, held successful corporate careers, and raised 3 pretty cool kids. And now we're off to see the world as successful house sitting professionals.

Why we want to house sit
As long time homeowners with beloved pets of our own, we know how important it is to find the right person or couple to come into your home and care for your furry family members, your house and your plants with such enthusiasm, respect and considerate care that you (finally!) feel free to go off on a vacation or business trip without worrying if a pipe might break or the plants turn brown. And, best of all, your pets get to stay in the safety and comfort of their own home. We think that's a win for everybody.
We know first hand the benefits of having a great house sitter and that is why we decided to pay it forward by becoming trusted house sitters ourselves.
Seeing the world was right at the top of our retirement dreams. By bringing together all of our real-life experience, the valuable skills we honed in the corporate world, our love of and know-how with animals, and our can-do, roll up your sleeves and get it done attitude, we started house sitting early in 2014 as the Global House Sit pros.
Our experience
We believe that taking excellent care of your beloved pets and home is our most important responsibility.
~ We have an abundance of life, professional and travel experience and we’re very comfortable and adaptable in new surroundings and cultures.
~ We will confidently handle most emergencies with calm, quick-thinking action. If we can’t handle it ourselves, we’ll know who to call. That’s where our management and leadership experiences come in handy!
~ We will be respectful of your home, your possessions and your privacy. We’re homeowners ourselves and will treat yours as if it were our own.
~ We are excellent communicators. We will keep you updated as often as you like so you know everything is in good hands. We love to send photo updates!
~ We love animals of all kinds (sorry not snakes) and have shared our home with dogs, cats, hamsters, white mice, tropical fish. We’ve also learned the fine (and very fun!) art of chicken keeping through several house sits and home exchanges.
~ We’re fun, friendly, detail-oriented retirees with a zest for life, curious minds and and energetic healthy bodies. We welcome the opportunity to get our hands dirty in your garden, take long walks with your pups and keep your house in tip-top condition.
We have enjoyed the benefits of both home exchange and house sitting and we discovered early on that we each brought a unique set of skills that made it easy for us to settle in quickly and easily manage any new situations as they arose. Here's how it usually goes:

Nancy and Les took great care of our home and our dog while we were on vacation for six days. Nancy was incredibly responsive via both email and text messaging before and during their stay. Nancy and Les took great care of our home and our dog while we were on vacation for six days. Nancy was incredibly responsive via both email and text messaging before and during their stay. She sent photos of Pepper and kept us updated. They left our home spotless with towels and sheets clean (which is always so amazing to come home to)! Plus our garden, plants and lawn were all well cared for. We couldn't rate them higher or thank them enough for letting us enjoy our vacation so much.

Nancy and Les were wonderful house-sitters. We were gone for a week and didn't worry at all about our dogs as we knew they were in good hands. Communication was good and the house was in great shape when we returned. We also enjoyed chatting with them about our various travel adventures. :)

We are so happy to know and enjoy these nice couple. They took the trouble to visit prior to the official sit dates and we had such a great afternoon getting to know them with many laughs. We felt more than comfortable in leaving our babies and house in their capable hands. They kept us well informed with messages and cute pictures. Also dealt very adequately with a situation that required a visit to the Vets, very impressed. They informed us of a tree falling down after a storm went through and cleared it all away by the time we returned. Our home looked like they had not even been in it and they even washed the sheets etc. All in all we were thrilled with them and look forward some time getting together with them again. Thanks guys xxx
