Pet Sitter to look after 3 toy poodles at my home in Wodongs
My husband, Rob, and I are needing your services to look after our 2 poodles, Obee and Ruby, while we travel to Sydney. My parents are in their 80's and it is a bit difficult for them to do this for us.
Our Home & Location
Our home is an older style home typical of the area. We live only 2 minutes walk from the picturesque Lake Hume with all that it offers. If you love walking there is a lovely walking track with plenty of open spaces, picnic areas, swimming beaches, fishing, boating etc etc. The house itself is on 2 levels, with us only occupying the upper level. It is reached by a set of exterior metal stairs, so if you have trouble getting up and down stairs, this job may not be for you. We have 3 bedrooms, however one of these is used as an office, the main has a small ensuite, main bathroom and laundry are combined, separate toilet, lovely good sized kitchen, with a good sized open plan living and dining area. Off this area is a verandah where you can sit and enjoy the sunshine overlooking the lake itself. We have WIFI and also have reverse cycle air conditioning. We can provide a couple of bicycles for your use and we are only 1.5 hours away from the Victorian Snow Fields. The large town of Albury is only 15 minutes from home and provides everything you could require from entertainment to cafes and restaurants. Bellbridge is a quiet, close knit community, so should you need assistance of any kind, someone is always there to help.
Responsibilities & Pets
We are looking for someone who loves animals. Obee and Ruby will be 11 months and 5 months respectively and have beautiful temperaments, but love being with people and in their own home. Feeding and general caring for them on a daily basis - basically be happy spending time with them. We have a good sized, fully enclosed back yard so they don't need walking, but they do enjoy going for walks if time and weather permits. Access to a vehicle would be necessary as there is no public transport to this hamlet on Lake Hume. All we ask is that you make the animals your priority, but to treat the house as if it belonged to a close friend and it is left tidy and clean. We do have a chook run with 4 chooks that will require their feeder topped up every few days and their water changed. You will be able to use any eggs that they lay and right now we have an abundance of fresh oranges on the couple of trees in the back yard.
