Little house on the hill
We live in a beautiful area and being at home is so relaxing we never want to leave! However, we have a few small trips and weekends away planned. We are looking for someone who loves animals to stay at the house so the animals don't have to go to boarding kennels.
The house is on 5 acres and overlooks the dairy farm behind us. Nothing beats sitting on the back deck watching the cows on a backdrop of beautiful state forest.
Our Home & Location
Conjola is 10 minutes from the town Milton, home to great cafe's and shopping, and 20 minutes to Ulladulla (beaches, food, movies etc).
Lake Conjola is 15 minutes away, and the inlet leads onto a great beach....
There are bushwalks nearby, and Pidgeonhouse mountain (a great climb) is approx 1hr drive. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Saying here is pretty low key. The dog (Peanut) and cat (Burt) need twice daily feeding. It would be great if you could take Peanut for a few walks down the road. The cat and dog sleep in the house at night.
Please note that we don't have a cat flap, so we do leave the window open at night if Burt hasn't come home (which does often happen a night or two when we have new people in the house)....
Ernie the conure lives inside, he gets a small meal of chopped fruit/veges in the morning, and a cover over his cage at night.
The horses (Summer and Sally) are old, fat and friendly. They need their water topped up about every second day. In summer we may feed once or twice daily, depending on how good the rain has been. In winter they get fed twice per day and rugged at night, which is pretty easy to learn if you haven't done it before.
The only other horse job is picking up the poop! It only takes about 10 minutes per day I promise!
The guinea fowl and chicken's just need their food and water topped up 1-2x weekly. They are let out in the day to roam around, and locked up at night. They are quite entertaining! There are also fresh eggs to be had!
I also would like whoever stays to be happy to keep in touch with me while we are gone, nothing too crazy but even just a text every few days to let me know everyone is going ok! + More info
